He, on numerous occasions, talked down to the instructor who had 30+ years of experience in the business. His reasoning for his pompousness? He had been a sandwich artist at Subway since that summer.

Customers who thinks we take the "The Customer is Always Right" policy literally, in retail. So they think they're entitled to anything their warped minds can conceive, and we would give no resistance. I'd cite an example, but there was so many during my several stints in retail CSR, that I've forgotten most of them due to being common. Although one bit that sticks out was this guy with an abysmal credit score, demanded we sell him an iPhone installment plan with no downpayment (this was usually reserved to people with a very high credit score, and I wasn't sure this applied to high-end phones at all.), and got antsy over it for a good 10-20 minutes.

Iwo DEU the standard hitting me and using that phrase as a shield, bullying me at home, just the all around standard sister. The issue was me, When she did this (she stopped a few years ago) I was currently the tallest kid in the school, looking down on others all the time, I also found out I had a disability which made have to take private classes to catch-up with the others and lastly I was the gentle shy giant who was a bit stronger than normal but underneath this gentle giant was a beast called My Anger, this beast got me into trouble because I couldn’t control it at times. My sister thought it was fun to push the buttons of a kid whose anger got him banned from a street for a few years (to be honest it was the bully’s fault). She sooner learned it was better to deal with an angery brother than a pissed off brother.

Definitely the worst thing to teach young girls. In the real world nobody is going to follow that middle age rule. And she'll grow up expecting normal men to act like prince charming the gentlemanly white knight which no one would ever be. When she talks shit or just gets unlucky with a crazy stronger man there's no rule of gentlemanness to make the reality of life less painful. And it helps nothing but to make women think they are this special fragile thing with special needs that everybody should be nice to, which will not happen most of the time, It's a retarded idea that doesn't help anybody, don't make neither women's nor men's lives better, just an overall stupid idea which, indirectly incentives young boys to fight and hurt each other more in comparison, since there's no punishment for hitting a boy, it's actually praised upon, which then leads to making these certain boys more violent, violent boys who grow to be violent men living in a world with sheltered fragile women, wow what a match, who've thought that this would work, huh? And so all it takes is an opportunity and there will go with this rule of gentlemanness. I think most of societys problems could been made a bit better if teachers and parents weren't so goddamned retarded at raising young kids. So yeah, clown world, baby, we do live in a. But goddamn does this idea suck so bad, oh well

I used to do weird stuff like this just to mess with people. Funny thing is, I didn't work parking, but nobody ever questioned it. The best was pretending to be concert security by wearing sunglasses, an orange vest and putting a clear plastic cup over a flashlight. It was a big week-long event and people came with tents and RVs. Day one, me and my buddy would stand at the road leading to the event and flag them down with the fake wands and search their rvs for drugs and recording equipment. Thing is, we never told them we were concert security, they just saw two guys flag them down and assumed. Then we'd be like, "So anyway, why'd you let two random guys go through your stuff?" "Be more careful next time." and wait for it to dawn on them that we were just guys with cups taped to a flashlight twirling and pointing. Nobody got mad, because they were all so panicked that they were in trouble it came as a relief. I love that we got a guy with a mandolin to follow us at one point and play dueling banjos while we did this stuff like this. This in turn caused one guy we stopped with a pocket amp and guitar to join in. Eventually we had our own marching theme music going around messing with people, getting into VIP areas, sleeping in stranger's tents right next to them and them being weirdly cool about it, inciting water balloon fights, etc. We had tons of people following us by the end. I have no idea how, but it became some kind of event of its own at some point. Pretty sure I would've been on a power trip if I wasn't so busy being confused by how we'd started a temporary cult that just did any random thing we felt like having them do. But after the week ended, everybody just packed up and headed home. This was pre social media blowing up and smart phones. I didn't even have a cell phone, and we were all from different part of the country, so I never heard from any of them again. I miss you mandolin guy. You and your very limited range of songs were the heart of the band that you helped us accidentally create.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself

I went to a pool hall one time. My friend ordered a beer. A guy behind the counter looked like a neckbeard. He told everyone that he had to check ID and that he'd have to check everyone, everytime they ordered a beer. "No ID, no beer." He had this disdain in the way he said it. The weird thing is that he could see the whole room from where he was. He could easily see who had beers.

Worked one school year including a summer break as an intern at a large grades K-12 community/activity center where some other intern dude named Jason got to be in charge of one of the head owner's master sets of keys. He was the owner's nephew, but he kissed his butt to embarrassing levels and attempted to chase off anyone serious and competent in the job because he hated competition. He tried the same thing on me and a few other people, but to his fury, it didn't work. He would walk around with those sets of keys, twirling the key sash grandly around his finger like a complete tool. This guy wasn't smart, at all. He had no charisma, basic life skills, an ounce of empathy for others, or likability. Above all, he hated children in a job catered to helping kids have fun, have a safe haven after school, and have a place to study and do their homework assignments. He did nothing but sit in the office on his phone. He couldn't do basic math and had horrible reading and writing skills, which were paramount to the job and for helping to mentor school-aged children. He couldn't train, couldn't keep stock, lied about our inventory count, couldn't organize, refused to clean up after himself, and refused to follow the intern chore chart as we all alternated between cleaning the bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, cleaning the pool and locker rooms, etc. He literally clicked his tongue and scoffed at the chores chart, but he'd lie and say he did his chores by marking them off on the chart. Sometimes, he'd utilize someone else's complete cleaning job and say he did it. Oh, and he always ate other people's labeled food in the fridge. If you tried to lock up your food, he'd get angry and go on about how "we are all family here" or that "love lives here." Blah, blah. If you ordered food in, he'd outright semi-order you, or try and guilt you into getting him a cheap item that he wanted from the menu, and if you failed to comply, would berate you for being greedy and not a team player and that would not look good for future job prospects. And you had better hope if you paid by credit card and not cash that you got to the door to get your delivery first because if you didn't, he'd say that he was you/that he was sent to get the food, and help himself to your order. Even if you didn't see him take a large spoonful of your kung pao noodles and dumplings or 2-3 slices of pizza, you knew he did, and we had video footage to prove it. When confronted (sometimes with violence), he'd make it out to be a joke and turn into a very bad comedy sketch act as if he were so lovable and should get away with it, or make movie references to...distract us? If the order was something he didn't like, he'd berate you for having such poor taste and ordering something nasty as if your own order inconvenienced him. When he wasn't in the office epically botching and failing at an Excel spreadsheet or community flier his uncle needed him to finish, he was in the computer lab on obviously NSFW sites, even knowing full well that each computer's live activity and history was monitored because we had children using them. That, or hogging the arcade/video games, keeping basketballs and other sports gear from kids because it gave him a power trip, or he was in the kitchen stuffing his face with large portions of recorded food donations specifically meant for the community. We had a large community garden in the field section of the property, and he never once helped, always talking about how a garden was a waste of time and "gay". However, come harvest time, he would fill his car's trunk to the brim with choice produce, taking nearly all the sweet corn, berries, potatoes, green beans, rosemary, cucumber, and watermelon for himself, and looking genuinely confused when people yelled at him for it as this garden was still ultimately an enrichment activity for the kids. He flashed his keys like a badge as if that did anything. He said it was his uncle's garden and was by proxy, his garden, and that they were lucky he was letting them take the family veggies. His uncle yelled at him for that, but let him off with a warning. Jason even took one of the pretty, and plush lounge chairs from the lobby, and brought it into his uncle's office like a throne, bragging about how he was going to be next in line to the so-called community center dynasty, and how he was going to change things and whip us all into shape. As if we'd stick around for one second if he became the one in charge. Of course, those keys were never far from him. He even bought a special belt loop clip to keep them fastened to his side, but he favored keeping them around his neck like a medal when most people would just keep them in their pocket. He even asked if we had any metal polish around so he could shine them. When one of the employees said it wasn't a good idea, Jason literally snapped and talked over him, telling him he was just jealous like he was some petulant preschooler, loud enough for everyone to hear. It's like in his mind, as long as he had those stupid keys, he was uncontested god. He wasn't even the community center owner's son who was the most humble person there. One day, payback came in all its glory while he was twirling those keys as usual. He was outside and looming over some other guy for a long, drawn-out time telling him the "correct" way to dump some perfectly bagged trash in the dumpster. Then he accidentally and perfectly, 10/10 flung the keys right from his finger and down a nearby sewer/storm drain. Like, they were rocketed in. He was far too big to fit inside, (he was a big boi) and no matter how much he barked or tried to intimidate others to go in and get his precious keys, not one person budged. Not even that one tall, extra lanky guy who was famous for being able to fit, squeeze into, and climb into hard to reach spots and openings. You could almost see his power draining while those keys sat there longer in the darkness below. After about 30 minutes of fruitless persuading, he just went, sat under a tree, and whimpered about how we all hated him, and how much we wanted him to get in trouble. Basically trying to guilt and shame us, per his usual tactic when he didn't get his way. He was right about people not liking him at least. The worst thing about the master keys being down there was that ring of master keys opened not only the money safe, but they also opened the safe for the spare keys, opened the alarm hatch, opened the central heating and air conditioning device, and opened the garden and storage sheds, opened the pool closet, opened every door and the front door. His uncle had other keys on him which were identical to what Jason had, but he wasn't even in the county at the time, so Jason was screwed. He called his uncle (who was always running around in and out of the city to meet officials and possible benefactors), and I guess his uncle got livid and spooked Jason, because the next thing I know, I'm getting informed that Jason got himself wedged in the storm drain. He was obviously trying desperately to get the keys, a broom lying right beside him, so I took it that he at least tried to poke around in there with the broom before trying to squeeze in. He was stuck tight, and because he never wore a belt or tucked his shirt in like he was supposed to per uniform standard, (or wore underwear) his shirt had shifted upwards in his awkward position and his pants were stuck hanging way past his butt crack, 2/3 mooning everyone, even the children coming in through the back way for their after school activities. The front doors were always locked during school hours, only unlocked during bus-unloading hour. You had to ring to have someone unlock the door and let you in, and because no keys, only one door in the building was opened, and it was a side door propped open with a chair. most of the rooms were locked, including the kitchen, so no snack, game rooms, or open classrooms for the kids who were getting rowdy in the multipurpose room. So in the end, the kids were all sent home as most of them lived in the neighborhood just down the hill, and the city eventually came to retrieve the keys that were deeper in there than anticipated. Oh, and they also got Jason, who had attracted quite a crowd from the nearby neighborhood and there was a local news van. Someone tried to put a courtesy trash bag over his butt, but it blew away. After Jason got out of the sewer, he tried to make himself out to be a hero who risked his life to get the keys, when no one else had the courage, and that he almost died, (because he couldn't breathe, and had asthma), but that god blessed him to live through his tribulation. I didn't even hear him express gratitude to the people who had to destroy a storm drain sewer to get him out. That made me wish that I thrashed his rear with the blue broom beside him when I had the chance, but assault charges weren't worth it. Though I will have to thank Jason for one thing... throughout a good portion of the event, I was crying laughing so hard that I almost needed an ambulance. 🚑 The neighbors roasting Jason didn't help make it less funny either. PS,. I left the center soon after. I had to get ready to leave town, get my stuff together, and begin life as a grownup, but I heard Jason got sacked for punching one little boy right in the nose, blood all over the wall, and trophy case because the little boy basically called him fat. I didn't get the full details, but I really hope the little boy's parents or guardians ripped Jason a new one.

I once knew a wannabe actress who convinced herself she had star quality when, in reality, she'd never done anything more than background extra or day player work. She had it in her head that she had what it took to become a household name but didn't have the ambition, drive, work ethic or even the good listening skills to make it halfway that far. She also convinced herself that she could be a writer or a producer. Tragically, the only writing experience she had was text messages and the only think she ever produced was secondhand smoke. I remember she ingratiated herself to this local filmmaker who brought her on as a producer and fought him every step of the way on every creative decision. Her ideas were bad and so was her writing. She became such a problem that she got fired as soon as the promotional three-minute video was done and in the can. The director begrudgingly left her scenes intact. She got her little featured role and writing credit. It was nothing to really brag about and she acted it was going to be a springboard that would help her standstill career gain the momentum it needed to really get going. In the end, heard reputation for being a difficult, argumentative, downright disrespectful and not very talented liar and a plagiarist preceded her. She hasn't done much, if anything at all, since.

This legit happened this morning. A girl in our Discord got admin role, being the second to get that role after me. This happen over a few weeks. She started deleting text channels I had made to help everyone and started kicking news members because SHE didn't know them. I posted a little get to know everyone thing and she was so pissed about it for no reason. Many of us were like wtf is her problem. I messaged the server owner because she had become increasingly rude to a lot of us. She saw the private message somehow. She typed a literal paragraph of lies in the general chat taking aim at me. So I responded tenfold. I actually had a mental breakdown because of it. I left the chat and talked with the server owner in person about it later in the day with some of the members who agree she's being overdramatic and blowing things out of proportion. He confirming her lies but we haven't heard about anything yet.

This guy at Walmart insisted on seeing my little sister's receipt. She was a 12-year-old girl who only bought about $30 in art supplies, but he was adamant. Naturally my sister had managed to lose the receipt between the checkout and the door, so we had to go back to checkout for another copy of the receipt. Checkout obviously didn't have the purchase saved onto the computer, so they weren't able to print off the receipt again. Checkout lady had a little talk with door guy and we were able to leave. I gave that Walmart a Google review for the first time that day, and suffice it to say it was not very positive. I probably wasn't the only one to complain though because while door guy still works there, he no longer asks for receipts.

I once started a two day religion about praying to stalin in my freshman HS year on a 3 day long school trip. A whole class was praying and I was kinda like the pope for two days. Then it was over(and it was probably cringy as i look back on it). but boy.

A friend group I was a part of as a freshman in high school had a leader that basically treated it as a dictatorship. We all weren’t in the “popular crowd,” but we weren’t idiots or incels, just we didn’t talk to many people outside of the group. There was a person in the group who snapped at the “leader” and he was kicked out. Then another person and myself was kicked out for not liking how he controls everything we do. To this day, the group still exists, and me and the two other people have been heavily shunned by the people in the group. The “leader” is HEAVILY on a power trip with the control he has over the people in the group

Stomps around like he's a manager, whining no one is working, runs off to the actual manager who he's best buddies with. Funnily enough I have literally never seen that man do a single bit of work, its ok though he's friends with the manager

These stories are examples of why I stopped believing the cliché "absolute power corrupts absolutely" a long time ago. There is some truth to it but far more often, when you see someone start throwing his/her weight around it's because that person is doing what (s)he wanted to from the beginning. What power really does is reveal how people actually are. I've seen it more than once; once someone goes up the ladder, (s)he feels free to do what (s)he really wants because (s)he doesn't have to answer to anyone anymore...or believes that to be the case.

I had to look up what a Nematode is, and apparently they're a category of worms, and while the can get into plants and eat them, the eggs can sit in the plants and when a person eats them, they'll hatch and the larvae will die, causing inflammation of the digestive system. That's a load of paraphrasing, but there is also a very low chance of there being harmful nematodes in the soil.

I’m in a program that you can take for two years. There’s first years, and second years. There’s around 30 kids so the second years are just supposed to help train the first years and improve their skills cause we only have one instructor. And this one guy took that power way to far. Started yelling at 1st years like they were dirt if they didn’t do something 100% right the second time they did it. And excessive amount of pushups and other things he did as punishments. Acted like he was top shit, a total douchebag. Cussed out 1st years multiple times calling them crazy inappropriate names for a class you take in high school. He was the worst I’ve ever seen, but this small amount of power tends to go to some 2nd year heads. Most just think they are top shit (especially the ones going into the service). But none to that extent. Most of us 2nd years are pretty cool now. We just expect you to do what your told and if you need help we are here to do so.

I had a friend who used to be the sweetest person I knew, and she and I did karate together from elementary school until the middle of high school when we reached black belt. By the beginning of high school, she was confident enough in her karate abilities to threaten people under whatever circumstances she wanted. She became manipulative and would force people to do unethical things or else she’d come close to breaking bones. Many people went home with bruises if they went near her once she reached black belt. She was a suckup to her karate instructors and she was often granted the ability to teach karate classes. She made it about 50x tougher on us than even the instructors said it needed to be. She was aware of everything she was putting everyone through and didn’t give a shit. Needless to say she and I are most definitely not friends anymore. TLDR Karate turned my friend from a sweetheart into a psychopath.
