He won champions league with AC Milan ..legend he is the pass master

Loved him at Fiorentina. In the absence of Gabriel Omar Batistuta, he truly gave his heart and soul to the club that he loved. At Milan, his technical ability shone through under Ancelotti and he won all the biggest accolades at club level. Amazing career, Rui.

It will always difficult to say. Rui Costa's posture in football was quite abnormal in comparison with other players. During the times in Florentina and Juventus, Rui Costa won many times the maestro title - the best 10. Zidane was a late player - he only shown his true potencial in the World Cup 98. Rui Costa is a true legend of Benfica. One of those impossible to create.

Knew him from playing Winning Eleven.. I fell in love with him instantly, mostly cos of his great hair🤪

well this is what you get when foreigners try to tell stories of players they don´t know...Benfica didn´t ruined Rui Costa life ever (he is our president by the way). He has more character and spine than whoever did this lousy video. His love for the the club where he started and his loyalty in all the phases of his career is something that most of the mercenary players of this generation lack...It´s true that his nickname in Friorentina was "La luce" but before that and after that he was always know for "O Maestro" in Portugal and "Il Maestro" in Milan because of the way he conducted the plays of his team...

To be honest they are different players I am Portuguese but I must say zidane was way better than Rui Costa technical and sytle. Sorry I cannot say he was better than zidane but if compare to Luis figo I would say Luis figo better than zidane
