Glad to have found this site. I am having the same problem with the upholstery spray wand. . It will spray, then it won't. Then it will, then it won't. Water all over the floor. Taking 3 times a lot to get any thing done. Very disappointed in this product. The carpet part works very well.

Bro . & I inherited a house...after paying HMRC tax ..left us with little money to re- carpet our fathers house .....with this machine we got the carpets almost back to new....awesome ...advise watch out for the " handheld " waste connection to machine ..it is difficult to align using the allocation marks ..if you get it wrong then the plastic tabs will break off rendering the whole machine useless ....just practice carefully .

I used the tools to clean my sofa and I cannot unplug them now, how does it works???

If water is leaking from the connection from the upholstery tool to the machine by the clean water. Wrap the connection with teflon tape multiple times and it should work. Water leaked all over the floor because of that issue. Teflon tape/plumbing tape worked.

Do you guys sell replacement upholstery tools and hoses? I had one of these but the upholstery tool broke and I could never find a replacement that matched or worked with this type of machine.

I can't get the hose off my tank. Dose anyone know how?

Where can I buy a replacement upholstery tool?

The tool spray connector on my rug doctor suddenly doesn't want to lock into the machine but it was working fine the last time I had used it.

I have experienced the same problem. This morning, I have spent an hour thusfar trying to lock the tool spray connector into place without success. As suggested in a youtube video, I rocked the connector back and forth in just about every way but it still doesn't lock. Extremely frustrating. I will continue to try. I do like the machine for carpet cleaning; its suction seems very satisfactory.

bigjojo49er I’m following you comment because I am having the same problem and, of course, I t’s the dirty water that is leaking! I’ve cleaned the interior tank and took a bottom cover off thinking it was the gasket. It wasn’t.

Everyone has the same problem! It's a scam! What's the phone number for customer service? I think they just disconnected it.

Where my upholstery attachment is to plug into the top part where the water is to go out the front attachment is leaking when I turn it on. Why is it leaking? I put it in right I lined it up were the o is and turned and it locked it. I'm confused I never had that issue before and I store it accordingly.

I realize this is old news but maybe someone can benefit. When watching this video I recognized that the water supply connection has a gasket. Mine (no longer?) does not. $1 #8 O-ring from Ace Hardware placed over the tip that inserts into the top of the machine and it works great. Press down and turn to lock into position.

What size is the o-ring/washer on the connector? Mine started heavily leaking water from the connector when I was using it and I noticed the black ring is missing.

Luckily mine is leaking from the clean/soapy water tank.

The small pipe for the tool spray connector just wouldn't line up an connect properly. Budged it, rocked it, pushed it, I tried, my wife tried. Nothing works. Very poor and shoddy design. However, I found a solution. Add a small dab of washing up liquid as a lubricant on the red tip nozzle. It now connects every time.

I have this for my rental properties. It was worth every single penny I paid. I have not had any issues with it except I wish it was easier to take apart and clean more thoroughly. I almost had it stolen by a tenant. Police escort and saving the original box helped me keep it. I was able to have the police enter with us and get it back. It pays to be organized with your serial numbers!

Complete rip off and--- they know it! When using the hand tool the water won't come out the hand tool but dumps out the bottom of the machine instead. this causes lots of damage especially if you are in an upstairs room. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me. Every time I have to mail the entrie machine back to them! Finally, they gave me a new machine because I complained so much. BUT--- The new machine did EXACTLY THE SAME THING!! Exactly the same thing!!! Rug doctor is a criminal company! They are lairs and cheaters. They know there's a fundamental problem but refuse to take responsibility!

First time I have used the hand tool and the same issue than everyone. I have checked the solution circuit and I guess there is a design error. It seems to be the solenoid that switch the solution between the tool or the carpet. photos.app.goo.gl/1hZFAUqkQGb3YW227. I'll check and try to fix it or by pass it and I'll post the results here. Apparently the solenoid valve switches due to the vacuum pressure and the spring inside is not strong enough to avoid this from happening. Let's see.

The small black O ring on the upholstery tool seen at 2:52 may have come off, this happened to me. I'm trying to find a replacement part, not easy.

machine is ok,but feels cheap..does a reasonable job of cleaning…the hand tool is useless…worked once and since then it will not send water to the sprayer.. From other reviews the Bissell Big Green is a better buy!
