I'm currently cleaning out a machine. The performance was poor, so I pooped the suckered open- it was so dirty and smelled like fish sauce. The nerve of some folks!

Thanks for your explanation which made the stress of using this machine for the first time slightly less bad. After my experience I can safely say I hate this machine. I am not exaggerating. I found using it super stressful. I felt like I was fighting with it the whole time.... it was far too heavy and clunky for me to move easily. I nearly broke my back carrying it up stairs, and even though I secured the hand tool properly water still ended up on the floor when in use. I have used other carpet cleaners before which were a lot better and easier for me. Yes the rug doctor did the job but was it easy to use? Not for me. Not easy to manoeuvre or use and despite your helpful video, I won't use this machine again even if it is a good value hire.

This is the same rug doctor unit that I have, but it doesn't have the On/Off switch on top.

How saturated does the carpet gets? Does it do a pretty good job sucking up the water? Is it just as good as the carpet cleaning guys? Thanks

I cleaned my carpet with a rug doctor yesterday , it does leave the carpet damp and today ive noticed a bit of a nasty smell ... wish id not done it now 😩
