    I would love to learn how to use the characters I’ve rigged in a scene. How to exploit these assets in other projects. I have learned a ton from the videos you’ve posted but would love to go beyond the basics. Maybe next time you do a cartoon you turn it into a tutorial. How to bring life to scene... animating with camera... please keep making them!!!

    Jeepers, this seems rather complex and quite abstract. I like to start from an existing illustration and rig and animate it from there. Thanks for showing your process, but I feel it's needlessly complex. :)

    I see the looping expression works on position and rotation, but when using it on a path it says "loopIn" is not a function. I'm having the path of the feet change depending how the toes would be pressing on the ground, do you know if there's a way to have this kind of looping apply to paths? Thanks!

  • @ross

    @ross

    5 жыл бұрын

    unfortunately looping expressions don't work on paths. there is a way though. and that's the link the path points to nulls. something you can do in the newest version on AE. then you can animate and loop the positions of the null that control the path points.

    I have problems with the very basic function: bending the thigh and the lower leg (or bending the knee, sorry?). WHAT hast to be parented to WHAT is my question? (I use 2 PS-Layers as artwork for the legparts) When I move the ankle-controller, only the lower leg is moving (same with the arms). Watched 20+ tuts but everyone is explaining the special features (which are cool) but not the basics. Help? Anyone? thanks! (using rh 1.0) BUT I would definitely buy RH 2.0 with your ROSS-Code if it works.

    If you make something move, say from (0,0) to (100,0), over 10 seconds, it’s gonna move 10 pixels to the right every second. In other words, it’ll move at the same speed throughout the animation. People say it moves “linearly”. If you easy ease the keyframes it’s no longer going to move linearly, it’s going to start slow, accelerate so it reaches its maximum speed in the middle of your animation and then slow down to a stop.

    So you survived that AIDS infected syringe? Cool. Also, is the tutorials gonna be an on-going thing or is it just once every 9 months? Either way, can you please do a tutorial (and/or series) on doing a complete animated short thing like how to make different scenes, how to manage it, how to composite and make a final edit with sounds and stuff? And some tutorials on perspective for someone who can't draw shit; like a guy walking/running toward or away from the camera + the cool 360° camera turn shot?

    idk how anyone, let alone a beginner, can possibly follow this tutorial. You're moving at a million miles per hour and using terms that only someone who is familiar with this program would know of. You should quit wasting peoples time and clarify in the title that this is an advanced tutorial.
