I really respect the care you used while doing this install. I am so tired of watching people ripping their bikes apart. Good for you It makes me happy to be so gentle and careful with this bike.

hey man thanks for the answer about the exhaust bellygap! i got my rs660 now and its so nice to watch your videos! my question is. is it better to change to sportfilter even tho u dont do upmap and stuff? is it overall better for the bike?

The stock air filter provides good airflow. If you are not going to use a tune there is no need to use a filter with more airflow. Stock map runs pretty lean as it is. You don’t need more air intake if you wont adjust the fuel with a map for proper AFR.

Το RS660 είναι ρυθμισμένο από την Aprilia να λειτουργεί «στεγνό», για να πληρεί τις προϋποθέσεις χαμηλών εκπομπών καυσαερίων. Δηλαδή αναλογία χαμηλή σε καύσιμο, υψηλή σε αέρα. Οι προϋποθέσεις αυτές δεν έχουν σκοπό την ομαλή λειτουργία του κινητήρα, αλλά μόνο τις νόμιμες καλύψεις Euro5. Με την εγκατάσταση πλήρους συστήματος εξάτμισης χωρίς τον περιοριστικό καταλύτη, σε συνδυασμό με αγωνιστικό φίλτρο αέρα, η αναλογία καυσίμου/αέρα γίνετε ακόμη πιο «στεγνή» λόγω ότι ο εργοστασιακός εγκέφαλος δεν αυξάνει την εισαγωγή καυσίμου ανάλογα της εισαγωγής αέρα. Γι’αυτό το λόγο συνιστάται η εγκατάσταση προγράμματος ECU. Υπάρχουν 3 επιλογές. Ο Race ECU της Aprilia, UpMap και Power Commander/Rapid Bike. Εγώ εγκατέστησα το UpMap διότι είναι το πιο εύκολο και το πιο εύχρηστο. Με το UpMap έχεις την δυνατότητα να εγκαταστήσεις διάφορους χάρτες μέσω του κινητού τηλεφώνου σου μέσω Bluetooth. Από τις επιλογές χαρτών επέλεξα τον χάρτη του Gabro.

Πραγματικά μου έλυσες την απορία μου . Έχεις μετρήσει τα άλογα που δίνει Με φίλτρο εξάτμιση και με το πρόγραμμα?? Επίσης πόσο κοστίζει όλο το πακέτο ( εξάτμιση , φίλτρο , πρόγραμμα )

@@BONTHEBLOCK Μην περιμένεις πολλά από δικύλινδρο 600άρι. Δεν το έχω βάλει σε δυναμόμετρο, αλλά άλλοι που το έβαλαν κατέγραψαν 4-5 άλογα αύξηση. Όσον αφορά τιμές δεν ξέρω τις τιμές Ελλάδας, αλλά εδώ για SC Project CRT - UpMap - DNA φίλτρο βγαίνει στα $2400 χωρίς εγκατάσταση. Μαζί με εγκατάσταση είναι γύρω στα $3000. Εμένα μου βγήκε γύρω στα $2000 για όλα γιατί έχω γνωστούς στον χώρο για καλύτερες τιμές, συν ότι τις εγκαταστάσεις τις κάνω μόνος μου.

@@BONTHEBLOCK Πλέον δεν νιώθω διαφορά. Στην πρώτη βόλτα μόνο ένιωσα διαφορά, ειδικά γιατί η μπροστινή ρόδα έμενε στον αέρα περισσότερη ώρα στην εκκίνηση σε σχέση με πριν. Έπιανε πιο πολύ το wheelie control σε σχέση με πριν. Αλλά αν με ρωτάς αν θα ξόδευα $2000 για αυτή την μικρή διαφορά η απάντηση μου θα ήταν όχι. Ειρωνία λίγο, διότι τα ξόδεψα μόνο και μόνο για τον ήχο.

I have a crt exhaust with gabro race map tune on my tuono! Im planning to change my oem filter with sprint filter. Do i need to tune the bike?

Gabro tunes the bikes with Sprint filters. So the map is already programmed for the air flow from the sprint filter or similar filter. You don’t need to remap. Your map is ready for your sprint filter. ✌️

No you don’t need to empty the tank to remove it. Check out my Velocity Stacks install video. I remove the tank completely and the tank is half full.

What fender eliminator do you guys have?

I believe the fender eliminator on this bike is from Robem Engineering. On my bike in the background I have installed the JL Designs.

I'm thinking buy too. But we must new programm again.?

If you do an exhaust and air filter then you would need a new program. If you are not installing an exhaust then you should just leave the stock air filter on. There is no need to bring in more airflow as the stock map runs lean as it is.

Looking for a video on Tuareg 660 air filter access. Any chance you can do one?

I don’t have a Tuareg to do a video. If you own a Tuareg 660, you should have received the owners manual with it. In there it should tell you exactly how to access the air filter.

@@ALFAVITAGA I'm considering buying one, but one of my complaints on my current Triumph 800XC is how difficult it is to get to the air filter. Six plastic panels, the gas tank, 4 various fuel and electrical connectors with increasingly brittle plastic on their connector tabs as the bike ages, then a dozen screws to get into the air box. I have $1000 down on a Tuareg to hold one but as an ADV or large dirt bike it's impractical to have the filter buried so far since it's pretty important to clean or replace it regularly if you ride in dusty conditions. Just trying to get some insight into the Tuareg before buying. No one has a video up yet on air filter convenience.

@@kcconnor2636 Ok now I understand why you need to know how to access the filter. Unfortunately the Tuareg just got out and there is not enough content out there. Maybe your Aprilia dealer could give you some info. I’m sure they already received Tuaregs. Knowing Aprilia, and from the photos I’ve seen, my guess is the air filter will be in an air box with a million screws under the gas tank with a few fairings to remove.

I'm looking at the air filter access on the Tuareg too before I buy one, access has to be easy or I'm out, on the Tenere 700 it's a 5 min job, simple, but I prefer the Tuareg from the reviews I've seen, cruise control is a must too. Like your video, subbed.

@@roadwarrior8560 Thank you! It seems that air filter access is a popular demand on the Tuareg. I will ask my dealer next time I’m there regarding the Tuaregs air filter access. If I get answers I will post here.

Real gains? No. Just a smoother operation in combination with the exhaust and the upmap.

@@blottotherobot Yes, the combination of the 3 is what I felt. I had the bike dynoed and I will be posting a video with the pulls and results soon.

Not really. Maybe if the bike had the stock exhaust on. But with an aftermarket you can’t hear any difference.

But you would say it’s worth the upgrade? Great videos bro btw! Definitely been using your videos for my own mods. I have the extrema I’m looking for a belly pan to cover the gap where the mid pipe is. So far nothing for the extrema

@@emang6284 Thank you! If you are not using a cat-less exhaust with a tune, there is no reason to change the air filter. And the Extrema has a CAT. Now for the fairing extender, you could order the belly fairing from the regular RS660 and then add the S2 Concept belly extender. It should fit. But if you are waiting for a company to come up with an extender for the Extrema, I really doubt that is going to happen.

Well I talked to the s2 guys they said they might make one but yea probably not. Appreciate the information! I’m gonna do all your mods eventually. I think the rs 660 could use a little more power!
