Rotator Cuff Exercises Didn’t Fix My Shoulder

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Growing up I had pretty messed up shoulders but I didn’t really realise how bad they were until I lost the use of my left arm mid 20’s and then dislocated it in my late 20’s.
That was a few years into doing the traditional rotator cuff and Serratus rehab which never seemed to work for me. At this point in time my list of shoulder exercises that didn’t give me pain was down to 1.
It really ruined my ability to perform when playing sport. I would have to tape my shoulders before every football game just to be confident something wouldn’t pop or tear. Even then there was no guarantee.
What I realised was that my rotator cuff was strong, it was holding on tight to compensate for the lack of scapula stability. Nothing changed for years until I started working more on
1. Scapula awareness then
2. Scapula control and finally
3. Strength.
It’s been a never ending journey of learning but that’s life and it’s the conversation I have everyday with others in the same boat. Keep at it, you’ll get there.

I needed this. My left shoulder area is soooo weak I can barely lift it. It feels heavy and like dead weight. I wish I could work with you in person😫
