    You guys rock. Love your videos. I did Shreveport a couple years ago and crushed it. First time but was so easy cause there where only 5 to 8 other roofing companies and the owner of the company was on the city council who everyone knew and loved. Now couple years later im in texas where theres a thousand roofing companies. So when i knock, chances are 20 people have knocked already. My new routine. After 10 no's watch a video of yours;) keep em coming.

    Gold. The other intro I like to use for this is “I’m helping - with their claim, lots of damage to the roof. The insurance carrier always likes to have photo or video evidence of the actual storm to corroborate, but they didn’t film it. Were you here the day of the storm, and did you happen to get any footage? People generally like to help their neighbors, and it makes a super easy transition to inspecting theirs as well since damage is confirmed, and I’m obviously going the extra mile to make sure it gets covered

    Amazing. I'm a roof canvasser and know this will help boost my sales/signups. My boss pulls like one roof a day. I needa do the same! What i found that has been effective is giving homeowners a 10 dollar Wal Mart gift card upon a free roof inspection. :)

    It would all depend upon what you are canvassing for. I'm sure there is some value in what she sells,but nothing can beat just getting out there and gaining hands-on experience from person to person-to-person door to door.

    This is true Becca teaches a lot more of these tactics in her course and throughout her videos if you watch enough of them you'll pick up what she's putting down ...but depending on the time of the year( what's coming up soon) how soon did the hail storm hit all those are objection primers I feel you should put out there before they become a hidden object that people just say I'm not interested they would much rather not argue then try to tell you they had they think it's just fine cuz it's not leaking...

  • @jackedhorse
    @jackedhorse6 жыл бұрын

    You shouldn't of asked would you like me to stop by and do a free inspection. It's a closed ended question and if they say no. You're shut down without some serious rebuttals. It would be better to say... "I have to be out here next week anyway. What day would work better for you, Wednesday or Thursday? It already implies they agree you are inspecting their roof and it gets you one step closer to closing. Just my opinion.

    Just so it doesn't have to be a lie try rephrasing what he said, "I would be happy to come by and do a free inspection. What day would work better for you, Wednesday or Thursday?” by the way thanks for the tip!

  • @JD-qo7hm

    @JD-qo7hm

    @@AGSUPERSTORE Ive heard of this strategy, I would guess it depends on how much you're willing to invest in a drone and how much ROI you could expect from what information it gets you. At the end of the day it still won't be worth shit if you can't get close the homeowner. I've seen people with holes in their roof the size of kiddie pools and they absolutely could not be bothered. To be fair, I don't think they were in all there mentally (tweakers seems like) but I think I made my point.

    Plus one other hurdle im dealing with. In Shreveport filing a claim was fairly new to people and thats where i was a huge help was helping them file a claim for them and walking them through steps. Taking the stress of dealing with insurance companies off there hands. Here in Texas, everyones been through it many times and have already filed the claim.. i just started up again. Our company hired a new guy 6 weeks ago who signed a 2 million dollar church.. and 3 other 6 figure commercial jobs and has a potential property management company.. can you break down any pointers on commercial compared to residential. If youve dealt with that

  • @roofsalesmastery

    @roofsalesmastery

    9 жыл бұрын

    Michael Wilson Honestly I haven't dealt with much commercial. We did a hotel once and worked on a claim for a nursing home a couple years ago, but my meat and potatoes has always been the residential. I can tell you that relationship building is going to be your biggest asset with the commercial jobs. Be thorough, always answer your phone, check in 2x a week even if you have no new updates, and follow through with what you say you're going to do. The great thing about commercial deals is you deal with less "emotion" than you do with a homeowner who is watching their prized abode be damaged and then restored.

    @Ken Huffman I believe that is still insurance fraud since they have to invoice the amount of the lower bid. The insurer then issues a lower check. The homeowner is helping only the insurance company and risking going to jail - tell them that -

  • @markbrohl1871

    I think you have some excellent thoughts, however in a fresh hail storm if you do not call in a claim and put your sign in the yard at the same time you speak to the homeowner when you come back the next day for your appointment there will already be a sign in the yard and it won't be yours

  • @roofsalesmastery

    @roofsalesmastery

    9 жыл бұрын

    Mark Brohl That can definitely happen, but in my experience and with the way we trained our salespeople in our company to do it this way, we had a lot better retention rate of overall contracts and appointments. That being said, every market and every storm has its own unique characteristics, and there is no right or wrong way to approach it! At the end of the day, do what works best for you, Mark! Hope all is well.

    Roof Sales Mastery Thank you for responding, but just to clarify, I think appointment setting is an excellent way in older hail and I intend to start implementing it. But at least in the Denver Metro Market, when fresh hail hits there are hundreds of storm chasers and locals jamming the same street. You literally have to elbow a salesman out of the way to get to a door. Any home that does not have a sign in the yard will have 20 to 30 door knocks each day. But in older hail when the salesman have left, setting an appointment I believe sounds like a fantastic way to lock in a customer.

    For sure! As always, my advice is just that - advice. I base my tips on what has worked for me in the past as well as what has worked for my own salesmen and the clients in the program. But you're exactly right - there are definitely circumstances and situations where different approaches can work best, and ultimately it comes down to what works best for you. :-)
