    True story: Competitive bodybuilding never banned gear because those in power didn't want the sport to turn almost exclusively black. As a group, blacks naturally have more muscle and heavier bones starting out than the other races. The former are able to achieve crazy low body fat levels that would typically kill other races.

    @@MrTadas21 Gear facilitates your recovery and growth. Taking advantage of the 'roids' requires a much tougher workout than usual. Additionally not everyone has the same reaction to gear, so some of it is genetics and your muscle composition. Moreover, dieting requires a great deal of mental strength. Not tryna take away from your point, yeah he did get big because of 'roids' but it took a ton a hard work.

    @@sharvilved2482 oh for sure, it took a lot of work, but in reality it actually takes less amount of work to get these kinds of muscles. You can compare 2 people doing exactly the same amount of work, 1 with roids other natty, and you will see the difference. You can also take same scenario, 1 is going at average capacity (with roids) and natty is full hardcore, roids will still win.

    Hell yeah, it's awesome to get inspired, weirdly for me it was seeing Eddie Vedder live for the first time and seeing him being relatively healthy for his age weight wise, and me at a young age working out, just not, at all wanting to be even a little flabby. I know it sounds like image issues, but I do prefer hitting 50 with a body that can still pull up and squat like a motherfucker

    Probably younger people that might not know who ronnie is dont understand the dedication and talent he had. Full time police job plus the eating and hardcore training and 2 hours of cardio a day while training for olympias. 500 pound bent over rows, 315 lb lunges, 200+ lb dumbell presses, 800 pound deads. This guy was a real life animal

    That just shows that they are legit genetic freaks. People atribute thier greek god bodies to steroids, but its genuine hard work, and top tier genetics. Edit: yes ofcourse he was on a shitload of gear. I was on some point and half my gym goer are on boatloades aswell. Yet 80% of them look like dog shit. Its honestly not as magical as people think.

    @@xXMaDGaMeR it's a combination of both. Unfortunately the steroids is a necessity in the sport or you simply can't compete. However, you definitely have to work harder than the other guy whose also on steroids so at the end of the day its still about willpower, genetics and determination.

    Tamburo52 back when he was competing I doubt they had the same way of measuring body fat that we do today. He probably used those callipers which aren’t accurate at low percentages. It probably would’ve given him those numbers. So not 0.33, but not knowingly lying either

    Back in the early 2000’s King Ronnie showed up as a guest bodybuilder in a competition happening in the Caribbeans. We were all impressed with the local talent until the king got up on stage and dwarfed everyone else. I kid you not, he looked at least 3 times bigger than the rest. There was just a shocking silence in the crowd. Everyone just stopped clapping and making noise. It felt like seeing an alien on stage.

    We should be thankful to all those firms who never hired Ronnie as an accountant. If he would have gotten that position we probably would have never heard about him, one of the greatest, most inspiring athletes we've seen. There's a lesson there. Funny how life works out sometimes.

    Total humble guy. We know in the mid 80s, in absence of diversity requirements, a southern big black guy from an HBCU, had little to no chances of getting an accounting job but made no mention of race. Gets lemons and finds a way to make lemonade. Doesn’t make it ok, but his grit to ignore societies ills and find providence for himself is heartwarming.

    Because bodybuilding and power lifting are two different sports. Bodybuilding is about conditioning and shaping your body into a muscle freak. You need reps not weight for this. Powerlifting deals with weight and he STARTED with powerlifting in his youth, he said so in the first 2 minutes. Get good scrub

    Most bodybuilders you see ripped on stage aren't even below 6%. Lying about how low you are/used to get is basically the norm in the industry now, it has completely modified the vision that people have of fat to the point that many believe 17% is overweight.

    What a humble man in Coleman, and Rogan shines in his interview style here from years of work interviewing and in an area he is comfortable with (smarlty grinding to achieve results...physically and mentally). He let's Coleman talk and matches tempo, effortlessly directing the conversation naturally. I am really proud of what these two mean achieved in life, and happy to be alive in a time when I can watch this on a magic hand held light emitting world knowledge device.

    THANK GOD Ronnie was never hired as an accountant god imagine going to get your taxes done and you walk in and see a dude that’s 6’1” - 6’3” probably about 245-275 lbs just jacked with that awesome smile, laugh and sense of humor that Ronnie has man he’s such a humble and down to earth guy the energy he gives off his so calming you can listen to this guy talk for hours about himself and his accomplishments and it still wouldn’t sound like bragging

    your essential fat to be alive on the organs such as liver etc take around 2-3%, people forget those, so if somebody say im 5% he is 7-8%, if somebody say im 2% he is 4-5% etc

    Apart from being a great bodybuilder he was also a awesome powerlifter. Ronnie Coleman was probably the strongest bodybuilder in history.
