I'm pretty used to driving my rovers off cliffs on Pertam, but this one definitely isn't made for that. It was pretty fun (and relatively safe) just taking it through the hills. :D

There is always something really satisfying about riding in first person in space engineers. Invisible trees literally everywhere XD. Earth rovers are not great since the trees. Pertam is where its at lol.

Yup, Pertam is my favorite driving location.

Iirc, the invisible trees/phantom trees tend to be a thing more for multiplayer, since from what I remember each player loads in their own trees separately. So what you're running into is a tree someone else on the server loaded in, but you personally haven't. It honestly is a bit weird why it isn't just set for server side, but hey

Interesting, I had no idea what was causing it but I haven't had this problem in single player (like you said) so that makes sense.

@@ShiftyshadowTV If you make a subgrid bumper you'll drive through trees almost without feeling it. Use a single rotor in or use two and merge block the bumper into a single piece. You'll fall in love with driving again.

@@dpercy5491 Exelent, thanks! I've gotten similar recommendations to make a wheel+suspension bumper. I think I'll probably go with your idea of a sub grid though, the look will be more to my liking. That said, it won't happen for a bit. My recordings are ahead of the videos to prevent sniping (public server) and, spoiler... ... I'm in space right now.

Nice series, I like the spin on it with small grid only, I watched all the episodes in one go besides ep 6 when I have actually fell asleep for a bit 😅not because your video was boring it just happened. Can't wait for the next one. The landing gear ,,EVENT'' happened to me also but never for an entire grid to sink in the world voxel.

Glad your enjoying! Yeah, sinking in is fairly uncommon now. That was my first time seeing a solo landing gear do it, but in the past I watched a few of my rovers clang their way down slowly. XD

People put the datapads into the station storage because it's easier than dumping them all out manually (or reprocessing them in an assembler). They should get replaced every time the station updates though.

Interesting. Someone must have been there recently then, data pads definitely get removed within a day in my experience. I did some testing recently and couldn't pin down when though. The ones I placed lasted through a couple station resets and a server restart.

@@ShiftyshadowTV maybe because they're player placed? I dunno. I usually play single player and my trashpads are usually gone when I gone when I go back

Yeah, they're a lot more interesting if you can move them around a bit. Even if I don't plan on moving them I like to put them together so that I can if I really want to.
