I built this miner in survival with some small exceptions. I like the idea of all component ships and this one looks and operates well. I did find out you need at least 4 small engines front, rear, and sides when fully loaded with ore.

i think you should put the drills at least one block forward, should be a good idea also to add a drill on top of the cockpit to avoid bumping into the ceiling

you've cut the video where you adjusted the build so when you build it, its different from the end result. Also its too fast to follow along or build from paused video.

@@gagechatham7838 I'm American and I can understand him perfectly. I lived with a Russian cell mate in the past for about half a year, so accents from that side of the world were probably harder to understand prior.

I enjoyed the video, only criticism is you cut really fast sometimes when placing a part so it can be hard to see where it went, other than that good work :)

Yea I agree had to pause like 50x and when he re-did the drill I was shook for a minute cuz I'm doing a build-A-Long thing with him and when we had to rework it I did it solo but figured it out perfect. ik there is a link but if i can't build it myself I don't want it XD

as set up from video its pullin stuff ingots from base when attached and dumping it

So, ships are cool, but after what I just experienced with my first ship, I don't see the point in a mining vessel anymore, over hand mining... My one and only ship got glitch stuck in a hole... Repaired everything multiple times, and even when I did get loose, it was like gravity was 10x stronger for no reason... If that kind of shit is happening, then ships are literally useless. Idk if anyone else has had the experience, but I'm tempted to give up playing all together if that shit is common. And yes, I double checked my Control Panel and Inventory... Everything was working and I had no inventory, so those weren't the issues.

If mining in a planet, yeah gravity is rough. But anything else beats mining by hand even if it's not a ship. But to give up after one ship failed to work the way you had hoped would be sad. There is a technique to mining with a ship so you do not get stuck. It's not to difficult either. And you have to remember that when you fill up with rock and ore you are a lot heavier so yeah gravity is worse. I (almost) never have problems with it. Most my crashed miners come from flying in fog while overloaded with resources lol

Ive been fiddling with this ship for a while and no matter what i do or how many times itry again, the bottom connector just dumps everything, iron and stone. extremely frustrating.

Why are you dumping stuff out of a connector without a sorter? Rear connector has a sorter and is already set up to dump stone, use it

It should be control + a it will highlight everything in the terminal menu that you can see so if you where to search drill you could highlight all the drills and put them in a group
