Rolf Potts Interview: Part 1 (Full Episode) | The Tim Ferriss Show (Podcast)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Rolf Potts is the author of Vagabonding, one of my favorite books of all-time. It was one of just two books (the other was Walden) that I carried with me around the world from 2004-2005. Those adventures led directly to The 4-Hour Workweek. Rolf is is an American travel writer, essayist, and author. He has written two books, and his travel writing has appeared in National Geographic Traveler, Outside, Salon.com, Slate.com, The Guardian, and other outlets.
World travel doesn’t have to be a wealthy person’s sport. In this often hilarious conversation, Rolf and I dig deep into travel tactics, creating time wealth, “managing success,” and much more. It’s a fun romp through every imaginable topic, from business to poetry, and from Wall Street to psychedelics.

Taking off at 17 after High School, I went to Europe for a year. I came back a new person with perspective and confidence unlike my friends who stayed at home safe and warm. I stayed in youth hostels, kitbutz(s) and orchards spending my hard earned babysitting money. I saw most of the art I dreamed of in Paris, Amsterdam and London. I returned home, studied art and design at Art Center College of Design in LA and Pasadena. I have been in the business for over 25 years making a nice living. It all started with the leap of faith to travel by myself. Just do it early before all the excuses implode on all of us as time goes by. I retired early and now paint full time. Tim thanks for all the encouraging interviews including this one. I listen while I paint!!

Hi Jason, we had Rolf on our podcast and his travel yarns really make you want to get out and explore. We would love your feedback on the show but unfortunately we don't advertise underpants. kzread.info/dash/bejne/foarstiMotuXmpc.html
