I have a way around this. When you’re say, stuck with low energy people you don’t really want influencing people. Use media. Things like KZread to incredibly influence your thinking past that of your surrounding people.

Unfortunately, for most men when it comes to online dating reducing your pool to only your ideal matches just means not getting any dates. Ever.

Beautiful discussion. The persistent question remains: How do we get back to a more natural state when we have gone so far down the opposite path and now feel trapped in that path due to provider (family) obligations? I look forward to reading the book.

Psychedelics have the potential to make a significant impact on mental health issues like anxiety and depression. They've been incredibly helpful for me personally.

Oh, communing with nature. You don't need grand vistas ...Craig mentioned Jon Young. He is teaching ancient, indigenous peace keeping and one of the main ingredients is "spot sitting". Chose a spot in nature (local park, hiking trail) anything that has earth uncovered by concrete, has grasses and plants and trees and birds and insects. Same spot every day, 20 minutes. And observe. @Tim Ferris, you should have Jon Young on your podcast. An amazing storyteller with rich experience and connected to the land and north american indigenous traditions. Thank you Craig for mentioning him.

What a genuinely incredible conversation. I don't know Tim Ferris' stuff well, but I know it a little, and I feel like the conversation with Martha Beck brings out things in him I've never seen. She is one of a kind. I bless the universe for the gift of her!

"I remove whoever doesn't hit the seventh grade level". That's stupid. The Flesh Kinkaid score gives the grade level at which one could understand your text, not write it. The lower the better. Well anyway, screwing up with test results is also a great way to find your match.

When I'm doing the things that make me the happiest or most "in the moment", time feels like it flies by. It's usually when I'm bored or frustrated by a situation that time feels like it flows like molasses. I'd rather my life feel quick but satisfying rather than long and frustrating.
