Key Takeaways: 1. Meditate and Journal 2. Ask yourself: "What can I learn from the people I hate the most?" 3. Lower your standards of expectations to get you moving forward. Even writing two pages a day mean you win the day 4. If you are stuck ask yourself: "What makes you angry?" Write about that. 5. Copyright your faults - That's what makes you unique and preventing competition from imitating you 6. 'Morning Pages' - 'Bitch and moan and complain' into your journal so that you can clean your mind out of negativity before starting your day 7. Absorbing more information will not make you a billionaire. You have to apply what you read / watch. Take action 8. Dedicate yourself to ONE THING AT A TIME. Focus is the key. Don't do two things at once. 9. 95% is enough. Don't make an activity painful because you 'kill' yourself to get to 100%. Keep it enjoyable 10. If you are stressing about a goal, say to yourself: "Who cares" 11. Pair one serious goal with one absurd goal

In my opinion, the difference between average people and titans is ACTION. No matter which methods are you using to do something, to get motivated, the thing is to do something. Each person has enough resources to go on and find solutions, but the method depends on the self analyse, to remember when you had the flow and the condition to reproduce it. :)

I enjoyed the part about “what makes you angry.” Because people get angry over the things they are passionate about and it taps into your passion quickly. Example: you’re passionate about animals, then thinking about animal cruelty will tap into your passion of caring. So you’re attacking what your passionate about, almost from a blue team mindset while defending from a red team attack. Love it!!

I, too, want to learn everything I can and reading the 4-hour workweek initiated me to how to think life differently. I've become a bit more efficient and I'm trying to set one goal at a time (have a hard time with this one). i guess I'll try to add one absurd goal to my list of pursues. Tim really helped me to learn more about how I work. I've always been judged for being a "super learner" because I would never settle and always pursue new things after the next. Came to the conclusion that I could have about 4-5 goals running at once, and to focus on one at a time until completion or "99%" accomplished. Not all interests have to be pursued at the same level.

Lots of golden nuggets like you said. I know your list of potential guests is probably very long, but I would like to ask you to please look up my good friend Lu Lastra. If you are looking for someone to really blow everyones fucking mind in this show, its him. Lu is a retired Navy Seal that reached the same level as Jocko within the Navy but has a different mindset and way of working, eventhough he doesnt puts himself out in the media very much he has been hired in the past to work closely with organizations like NASA, police academy, pro baseball teams, and with thousands of people in the navy teaching, and showing them how to work more efficiently as a group, becoming better leaders, visualizing and having a very strong mental thoughness, not to mention breaking world records skydiving, and with more than 35 years in the highest ranks of the Navy, and being so consistent with the the way he lives now practicing what he taught all his life I believe he can be one of your best guests ever on this show. Please google him and look him up, I would be more than happy to give you his phone number if you are interested. You can reach out to me any day at 619-678-4227 All the best, Luis

Don't know why this guy's subs are so low! these videos are amazing! I think part of the reason is people come here for a slice of motivation to get them through the day or whatever they are doing. Once they get their fix they leave feeling uplifted until they need it again. Maybe I'm wrong!

Man, thank you for an incredible episode... love, love, love Tim Ferris. How he remains so humble and authentic is inspiring. I am so thankful for discovering you and Impact Theory - Best find of 2017 - It probably will still be at the end of the year- your content and delivery is just so top notch, seems inconceivable that I will more excited about something else. Sign me up for that Army - I am on my own journey "adopting Kaizen for Life " Kaizen = continuous Improvement. The latter half of 2016, I spent consuming as much insight and knowledge I could find - devouring information however all in theory. 2017 is my year for action - yes I will continue to find new and more perspectives however focusing more on implementation.... and daily progress. Baby steps but always in the direction of where I intend to end up. Meditation and journalling is now part of my morning routine - two weeks into this daily habit - wow, I am unable to articulate the impact that has had to my energy, focus and will power for achieving consistency in my daily goals. Thank you again, #loveyourwork, a fan for life and to reiterate - where do we sign up for the army haha.

Absolutely, consistency builds momentum and I can already feel the positive force it is becoming. I have to stay grounded, focused on small daily achievements. deliberate action every step - trying to be ruthless with how I use my time Thank you for the compliment - made my evening haha Next big step is finishing off my blog and getting it live - "adopting Kaizen for Life " - I am documenting my progress, a honest reflection of the journey I am on + intend to use it to pay tribute to "the greats" that I have come across so far. My hope is that it may help, inspire others to discover people like Tom and Tim and have it ignite the passion to take control of their lives and MAKE SHIT HAPPEN. To quote Tony Robbins "we all have things we want,,,, but we don't get what we want, we get what we HAVE TO HAVE " All the Best for 2017 to you as well!!

Questions lead to the biggest insights in life, they are the prerequisite to the greatest answers. Ask questions. Particularly about how you can handicap yourself and remain as effective as possible, such as an 8 hour in 2 hours. Ask what doing the opposite of what you're not seeing results on for 48 hours would be like. Creativity becomes a necessity when you add constraints, but at the same time balance it with removing the stress at other times when you find it particularly tough to come up with ideas.

The low expectation resulting in high performance makes sense for people who overthink the task at hand, if I’m thinking about working on this big task that needs to get done I’ll put it off and it’ll never get done, I tell myself to do 5 minutes a day and I usually crank out an hour of work. It’s that initial push to get the ball rolling is what does it
