This might sound silly, but I just learned yesterday that "executioner" means "someone that executes people" and not "someone that executes (anything in particular, could be orders, instructions, in fact, anything but people)". My native language has two different words for those two thing. The word for someone that executes random things in fact is very similar to "executioner" so I thought for years that they meant the same thing. Just yesterday I realized "I don't know the word in English for someone that executes people, how come I don't know it?". What a surprise, now this intro hits differently. Sorry if this bored you. I'm not sorry tho about begging for likes and subscribes for WinterStarcraft, Jimmy, what are we at?

It's funny that you say that. I am a native English speaker and hadn't paid that much mind. We use the word "execute" a lot as a noun and not a verb. Some examples: in America, the president is part of the branch of government called the "Executive" branch. Leaders of companies, like CEOs and corporate bosses, are called "executives." The origin of the word is, like much of English, from Latin as the word "executivus". English apparently did use the word executive as you described (someone who preforms a task) but in the 17th century it fell into disuse and is now obsolete as a word. Technically it would be perfectly correct to say, "I am someone who executes cooking food for guests in a restaurant" but obviously no one talks like that anymore :P

@@ConstantineIII Ejecutivo = executive in spanish. We use the same word for the same purpose in the example you have. Ejecutivos for "executives", as well. I have seen however native english speakers say "to execute an idea" but we don't use "ejecutar una idea" at all.

So.. You kinda contradicted yourself in the first sentence. Saying executioner means some 1 that executes people, then you immediately turned around and said it means some one that executes anything but people. This being the case I think your brain may be short circuiting and you believe both to be true because you haven't hashed it all out yet. A thing that executes would be an Exeggutor. This is the evolution and future tense of Exeggcute. Hope this helps!

@@BinaryLynx I looked for that yesterday but, according to Cambridge Dictionary, executor meant "someone who makes sure that things are done according to a dead person's will (their legally recorded wishes about what should happen to their money, property, etc.)". I was beyond confused.

I have seen so many bane busts against Byun in the last game of a series,He should just start blind countering it at this point.

"I don't even know if I can show this!" had me lol.

A Baneling bust in 2024. Rogue digging deep into the nightmares of Terrans everywhere with that one.

I love watching rogue. He has such anti-hero vibes. I love how nobody hypes him yet he is one of the greatest. It is just so nice and easy watching him dismantle the praised gods and getting hated by fans lol. Feels so satisfying and good to remind people that all of these pros are really good and very close to each other in skill. Stats screen is great!

Stat screens are a pretty nice touch

Jimmy, the player stats between rounds are great. For the record vs. race line, instead of saying "recent," perhaps define it as "since the last balance patch." Win rates vs. all three races would also be nice, so you can guess how comfortable each player is. Also, Lambo and Mana just played a best of 5 as part of the European tournament that was pretty decent, if you want to cast it.

Man, I am back to watching starcraft 2 matches after some years off, and I had to dig a while to find this commenter. The algorithm just wants to give you what you have allready clicked and there isnt really a good solution for giving you variety in your search results any more. It made me realize how the internet has changed.

Why do zergs complain about terran having sensor towers? They literally have the games worst map hack. It is ok if protoss does it.

Sensor towers take a lot less effort to maintain than creep does to spread and it has better range, is most of the complaints. A lot of Zergs see Terrans with low APM versus the amount of micromanagement Zerg needs and hate structures that are better than anything else they have for the purpose that doesn't cost time or attention beyond clicking an SCV.

Because he does things like finish serral in 16 minutes 4:1 outplaying him in a major final. If he wins he wins really efficiently. People do not like to see their favorite player look like he is not a god, which in turn makes them feel less special about themselves. Rogue is very good at mindgaming his opponents and he often will rush his opponent unexpectedly which is less fun to watch than drawn-out macro games. That is why.

Stat screen is amazing, great addition! Since about 2022 byun has been pretty tiring to watch. I hope we see less of him and his dedication to micro marines slower and slower every year.

Byun definitely falling off as other players know what he is going to do and also can match his skill in micro.

Another zerg that plays byun for 10 minutes without making units that can kill medivacs smh
