Great video, thanks for covering all the steps and the sprues. I’m trying to tackle my pile of shame before buying (too much) more but definitely want it pick this up at some point. Maybe after I finish my Leman Russ and Chimeras……

Thank god the manual is in color. I still can’t believe how much they dropped the ball with the black and white Horus Hersey set manual.

What do you think: the absence of the bottom of the tank may mean that the model should be installed on the base? Maybe in the 10th Edition? I totally support the idea of vehicle bases in Warhammer 40,000! But I need to know what the standards will be.

Great review, I've got a Rogal Dorn on order and looking forward to getting it through. The hole in the bottom has to be one of the biggest non-issues I've ever seen. Give me great crew minis and all that stowage any day!

The Fury inspiration for the tank commander was very clever. Really comprehensive video. I have two coming from your link to Wayland Games but have to wait for my UK person to get them across the pond to me. With the new exchange rates I paid about 30% less than what I would have paid in the U.S. Can't wait to get mine assembled and painted.

If you look at the sprues, where would you have placed the bottom plate? The answer is, it would require an additional sprue, more bits, more cost. If people had to spend an additional 5£ To get a third sprue with just a plate on it I imagine that would have been an issue as well.

If I had to fault GW for anything, it would be for not anticipating this reaction, and getting out in front of it. When the Dorn was revealed, all they had to say was something like, “We looked at the sprues and decided to include more optional equipment and the track guards, rather than create another upgrade sprue for separate purchase.”

Compare this to a scale model in the same price range ... I bet you can't find one with a missing bottom. In fact I'd suspect you would find more that have even more detail (like an engine or interior) that is invisible once the model is built. A quick Google got me a 1:48 scale Tiger I with interior detail as a feature.

Not for me. I like my tanks complete.

This is absolutely the shittiest tank since Primaris tanks,and primaris miniatures in general. GW is going in ridiculous directiin design wideo. Who buys overgunned junk and Mario carts? I'm buying few Chaos Predators and I'm finished supporting them. Independent designers deserve my money more and they are more inginuitive.

I'd also say supporting recasters and printers is the way to go, GW really is digging it's own grave at this rate.
