Yes, but Rod Stewart is a Londoner !! As I’ve said on here before, he couldn’t possibly be a Jacobite unless he is a ‘ Stuart ‘ not a ‘ Stewart ‘! The Stuarts were the last true kings of England and Scotland but prevented from taking their rightful throne because they were CATHOLICS . I’ve said that if Rod can find that he really is a ‘ Stuart ‘ and wants to claim the English and Scottish thrones, that’s fine by me !!!

This is a masterpiece and it was kind of strange that it did not become a huge, huge hit. The whole album is just as great except for the two first singles, I guess that is why few discovered this 80.s gem! Rod IS the very best front man I have seen and I have seen around 350 various acts live from 1974 to present day. Noone, noone owns the stage and the crowd the way this guy did back in the day.

ich habe ihn 37 mal live gesehen das erste mal 1980 in frankfurt und das letzte mal 2019 in köln besonders das open air in schüttorf 83 war besonders aber auch in holland war besonders in the round da hat er mir die hand gegeben und mir zugezwinkert einen ball habe ich von ihm leider nie fangen können da hab ich mir einen gekauft für 125 euro ersteigert

How have I lived nearly 50 years and never heard this song before???!!! It's beautiful. I've loved Rod's music since I was a child in the 70s and 80s. I bet it was funny to my older sisters and parents watching me roam the house singing the chorus from"Do Ya Think I'm Sexy". And got to see him in concert in the late 90s. What an amazing experience that was. Even his backup singers were worthy of their own concert. The African-American man was awesome singing a cover of Al Green's Let's Stay Together. He got a standing ovation. Thank you, Sir Rod, for so many memories you and your music has given us through the years.

I'M BRAZILIAN, I REALLY LIKE ROD, THIS VOICE IS INCOMPATIBLE, IS ANYONE ELSE LISTENING TO THIS BEAUTIFUL SONG IN 2024?

I chose this song to be played at my brothers funeral a few years ago. He was 47 and had never really settled. He left Scotland as a late teenager and went to England to find his dad. He found him, just a few years later his dad died. My brother never got on with our mum either. My brother was an alcoholic by his late 30's We both had an awful childhood, I went down a better path, my bro didn't. Since leaving home he lived in different towns making enemies every where he went. Never keeping jobs or women. He had a son and wasn't in his life just like his dad wasn't in his. He drank heavy and ate so much that he ended up morbidly obese. He remained in England but his friends were drunken bums, my Bro couldn't escape his past. His son then found him and they had a terrible relationship for his last few years. My brother was depressed and angry all his life, never getting help, he missed Scotland but made too many enemies here. He couldnt find true love because every woman left him and rightly so. I tried over and over again to help him, and all I got was grief from him. I think he resented me for letting go of the past and having great kids. I worked for years in therapy to be able to let go.. So the drink and his obesity killed him. I think, at 47, he felt his like was nearly over 🙄. We lost our mum when she was 41, his dad died at 45 and my dad died at 46. He had no idea there was a good life to live, he never tried. So at his funeral, I believe his spirit went home to Scotland, made a toast, with IrnBru 😁😜, listening to those pipes feeling he was home. He met my mum and they made up 😁. So when it's my turn, they will be waiting for me. Mum will be a good mother and my brother will be nice to me too. 😊. I'm 52 now and due to ill health won't reach old age but I'm OK with that.. To know those two are waiting and they now see the mistakes they both made, they're waiting to say sorry to me, I'm ready for that. 😊

congratulations , imagina se você tivesse vivido esta época deslumbrante impar coitado dos jovens de hoje. ambientes como PARADÃO da l Norte TAGUATINGA, super som sa boia SETOR O, e o QUARENTÃO anos 80 querida CEILÂNDIA DF . gente suava a palma da mão as donas se valorizava era só você e a roupa no corpo. sem carros ou qualquer outro recurso. a possibilidade de levar um fora de uma dona. era muito grande tudo tinha mais força mais brilho emoção.

Every now and then between the middle third of the 80s and the early 90s,one of Rod's songs,such as Baby Jane and Rhythm of My Heart,would blow up suddenly into a huge hit out of the blue in the UK. This was one,flying into the chart at number 17 one week in July 1986 and then going straight to its peak position of number 2 the following week. It was kept off the top by Madonna's Papa Don't Preach.

Nothing compares to this legend timeless music just work of genius. Thank you in SA and a 80s generation but a fan of this legend, thanks to my mom's classical taste.
