Watching this again, 2 years after my first watch. To me this isn't a football story, This is a story of human friendship and a lesson in rising above the hand you've been dealt to achieve greatness. To call Ian Wright an Arsenal Legend is selling him short, He's a National Treasure.

David Rocastle's brother on the Arsenal side that won the 1988/89 First Division: "Just a team of mates who happened to be playing for one of the biggest football clubs in the world." Beautiful! And a million miles away from the corporate brandfest of the modern professional game. What a magnificent cast of strong, inspiring characters in this documentary: Rocky, Wrighty, Tony Adams, Michael Thomas, George Graham, David Dein (how great it would be to have someone like that in the Arsenal boardroom today, a true lover of the club and the game), Arsenal legends all, as well as Rocastle's lovely family and friends. A great documentary and a fitting tribute.

I worked with some Spurs fans back in 2001 and one of them was at the game featured in this documentary... on the Monday I went up to him and shook his hand in acknowledgement of just superbly observed the minute's silence was that day. We are a football family and times like this the best of us comes out... David Rocastle RIP

Ian Wright is very close to his emotions, For me that is an excellent quality. Venting emotions instead of bottling them up is good for someones mental health. We need more people like Ian Wright for men to know its ok to occasionally get emotional. There's a big difference between a Cry-Baby and an occasional venter.

Right. You're telling me that Jordan Henderson, Marcus Rashford, Jayden Sancho, Hector Bellerin, Raheem Sterling and Troy Deeney don't care? Not only do players in the Premier look out for each other, but the wider football community has become aware of and raised issues such as child poverty, racial injustice, women's rights, LGBTQ equality, men's mental health, teen suicide, social media bullying and harassment, women's reproductive rights, environmental issues, even survivors of the Grenfell Towers have been recognised and remembered in charity football games by top flight players. Fans have more access to their heroes today more than ever through online club forums, social media and the work that club members do in the wider community. Football is a truly universal sport that unites people from all backgrounds, all races and all creeds and it's down to the players and the clubs.

The announcer said "substitution for palace , Ian Wright is making his debut" , we all said " who the f is Ian wright" ? 10 minutes later we were promoted as champions , I went over fence to celebrate with the players and got covered in Steve coppells champagne. The greatest football match I ever had the privilege to attend . Thank you Ian 😊

David Rocastle comes across as the most unbelievably likeable guy. So very talented as a player yet humble and considerate. Wonderful bloke. The same can be said for Wrighty. I didn't like his early punditry, but realise now he was just learning the ropes: he is a perfect pundit now, full of character, knowledge and honesty. To experience how loved Wrighty and Rocky are in England, demonstrates, despite a tiny minority of idiots, that every country has - how racially harmonious we are in football here.

You are very correct. Players should be able to do what they want. Top clubs often ship players out as soon as they are injured or don't hit the ground running. I can think of so many like Gotze at Bayern, Kezman at Chelsea, Shevchenko at Chelsea, Bergkamp at Inter. Once they didn't really perform they were transferred away. Even those that were loyal and played well were still transferred away like Pato at Milan. I feel like City are waiting for January transfer window or the summer to see what they can do about Mahrez or even Sterling should he loose form or should they find better.

I’m so appreciative of the wonderful storytelling about two Arsenal legends. Two legends of the game. I was struck by David Dein describing Robert Pires scoring the Rocky goal while wearing the number 7. then Rocky’s son saying that people would come up thru the academy dreaming of playing on the right wing and wearing the Arsenal number 7 that, years later, us Arsenal supporters to have the privilege of watching Bukayo Saka and every week 🥹. Wonderful storytelling. RIP Rocky

ROCKY!!!! The reason I am a proud GOONER!!! He was Arsenal summed up in 1 human being - never say die attitude that we miss today and was tough and played with heart - he and this team were the reasons I started following the team as a South African!!!! And then Wrighty came who is my number one Arsenal player of ALL TIME - LOVED HIS PASSION FOR THE SHIRT. Our team now could learn from them both!!!! LOVE YOU WRIGHTY!!!! RIP Rocky!!!! Forever in our hearts.....

I’ve watched this programme 4 or 5 times, it hurts every time. I was stationed in Germany when we won the league at Anfield, I remember that fiery look of determination on Rockys face and the clenched fist........ I knew we were going to win that night when I saw his fiery determination. A year later I was stationed in The UK, great memories standing on the North Bank chanting oh Rocky Rocky, Rocky Rocky Rocky Rocastle,!!. Thanks for bringing those memories back Wrighty and the class of 87 - 91-92. Good times 😎👍

Wow! Even years later with all the superb players we have had at Arsenal Rocky is still and forever will be a very special player in my heart and every other gooner. This is a brilliant docu from having a smile on my face reliving Rocky and Wrighty gifting us magical times as fans. But towards the end it really puts a lump in the throat because it still hurts that Rocky passed away so young when he had given so much. I was so angry and couldn’t understand why Arsenal sold him. This docu kind of puts at least some explanation into the transfer, though I would have loved Rocky to have started and ended his career with us. To hear what his reaction was to having a transfer fee accepted is heartbreaking enough even without his loss to his family, friends, Arsenal and football itself. Thank you, to the KZreadr for putting this amazingly emotional and fantastic vid on for us to see. RIP Rocky...forever & ever in our hearts and a true Arsenal legend that gave so many great memories to all that remember the ball wizard David ( Rocky ) Rocastle and thank you for giving us the chance to see you play!

Great documentary but terribly sad in the last ten minutes. I was extremely lucky to see most of David's home games for Arsenal and although he will always be remembered for his skills he really used to get stuck in too. A guy that gave it everything every time he played. Just feel so sorry for his family but if there is any comfort for them it is that he is spoken of still in such high esteem. Thanks David, I can never forget you.

Watching this is great to see Ian talking and believing and he certainly was a London lad done good.He excited the arsenal fans and boy growing up watching him on the pitch even as a Utd fan was fantastic fast, explosive runs and an amazing goal scorer .It was while playing for palace that his talent was picked up on by arsenal, what I love about this story is that local lad running out at Highbury and becoming an Arsenal hero the rest is history I feel in today’s game you don’t seem to get that core of local lads playing for their team with such demands to succeed today. Football forever

Great documentary which showed how 2 humble but ambitious South London boys made it big but never forgot their Brockley roots. I'm a Palace fan but when Wrighty got his move to Arsenal I was happy for him especially as he'd been knocked back as a kid. As for Rocky what a top class player and human being he was. When he'd broken through at Arsenal and Wrighty was struggling he was willing his mate to get a contract. RIP Rocky and Wrighty you're a legend.
