Wes Brown MAN UTD LEGEND I drove past his house in Prestbury years ago on my birthday with my gf at the time, i thought id knock on & see if he was there. He only opened up his big electric gates for me and invited me into his drive upto his front door & gave me some signed stuff. Still gives me goosebumps today. What a genuine amazing human you are brother . Big up wes ✌️ great interview lads

Such a stoic, honest and deep chap. Hope it all works out for him. Seems like a top man.
Such a living legend. Calm and level headed.
He was a fantastic right back & centre half at times. That boy could tackle. He was confident on the ball going forward & was a great defender, he played with his heart. I saw him play many times home & away with United. I’ve never met him, but he sounds like a very grounded bloke who has no ego. Wish him all the best for his future. He might have lost a few quid but he’s got his dignity & that’s worth far more….
I'll never forget Wesley's performance against Barcelona away... Seems like a great fella and a united unsung hero x
Wes Brown is great, so humble and positive. Of all the players I would not like to see go bankrupt, it’s him. Top guy.
Wes I don’t think you will see this but you are brave here. I thought Ben pushed hard on your personal issue and you stayed brave. That stuff doesn’t leave you and reminds you every day how awful you should feel. You’ve learnt to shelf it and that’s brave. Well done buddy I hope you see this and please keep living for the day

What a bloody great guy. Wes should do much more of these. Very personable and likeable. Great interview, Ben 👌🏼
His attitude is amazing. No wonder he made it and survived in that successful era!
Hugely underrated. Best tackler at the club in his time. Nobody could time a tackle like Wes!
Never thought too much of him when he was at united but pleasently suprised, like his honesty and seems like a top fella
What an impressive bloke, didn't know much about Wes so happy I watched. Huge respect for Wes and his career. The ending is classic ..... top man !
A true gentleman and legend of football

Woow this Wes is soo articulate and thoughtful.. this is one of the most insightful interviews I’ve listened to with an ex pro.. I wish him the very best
learnt allot from WES, i like how strong minded he is thanks for sharing this video
Great player for United, very humble down to earth lad and what a great podcast! YNWA!!
Really nice guy Wes, took abit of stick at times for some of his performances but a quality player on his day trying to fight for his place in a team of monsters during a golden age, he’d probably walk into the man utd defence these days lol.
Wow…not a Man U fan but what an honest and articulate person…totally changed my view on Wes……hope all goes well in his future…I’m sure it will. 👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you for your service and helping to bring us the glory days Wes ❤

Re: which Treble side was better; people forget the group United had to qualify from (Bayern and Barca were in it), the route to the CL final (Inter and Juventus), the route to the FA Cup Final (Liverpool, Chelsea (twice), and Arsenal (twice), as well as winning the League on the final day (against Tottenham).

Love Wes. Great player and top guy!
My uncle was a former scout for United for the Southwest region of the UK. He told me a story of when handing a report in to Alex Ferguson in his office and how Alex Ferguson was telling my uncle that this kid coming through called Wes Brown will likely be better than Rio. That is high praise. Genuine true story.
@padee9469

That's weird considering Wes Brown was playing in United's 1st team 5 years before Rio signed for them. Why lie? 😂
@mrmonkey2214
Ай бұрын
@padee9469 genuine story. Bare in mind it's a scout talking about promising defenders. I think Fergie was comparing Wes to Rio who would have been at West Ham or Leeds at the time. At that moment in time Rio was considered the best young CB out there. Why would I lie? Always one in the comments - don't know why I'm even explaining myself to you.

I know what you mean but Rio was actually renowned around England in 97.. everyone wanted him including United who had a bid turned down by West Ham. Don't forget Rio is a year older than Brown which makes a big difference when players are breaking through at 18/19. To be fair even Wes's memory is shot too, as there was no game like he describes happen at Elland Road when he was 19 lol

What a guy 🙌
I met Wes in JFK in 2015. After Rooney refused a picture with me because he apparently '"Had to Go", I was only delighted that Wes obliged and wished me a safe flight. Top man.
Rivalry aside, this guy is a very grounded individual. I wish him well and hope he gets some of his losses back.
Well spoken guy

Wes top legend true hero legend top player too respect great memories. You where rude when you tried to tell wes about what he should of done with his money instead and this it’s to late he went through it try have sone respect there I think mate. But yeah Wes legend fella great man. Really polite when questioned about that
Im a Liverpool supporter,agree with Wes ,Wayne Rooney was a great footballer,I rate him as one of me top players I ever seen live,and I had a season ticket at Anfield back in them days,so I've seen some great players here in England and over in Europe,Henning Berg and Ronny Johnson both played in me Norwegian fellas club Lilestrom,before joining man united,both won the treble and both x Lilestrom players.
Wes was awesome for SAFC when he did play, just could never get a good run going, be that because of injury or odd disciplinary issues.
