You mean one hand with a forward grip and the other with a side grip? Yeah, I never understood what the side grip was for. I thought only marching band drummers did that.

That was a totally awesome performance Sina, and a really great tribute since KISS just completed their Farewell Tour last December. "The Catman" Peter Criss was a not only a great rock drummer, but also sang their biggest US hit "Beth" in 1976. Another fantastic cover from a truly iconic group! ✨

This song came out when I was in the 6th grade. The first time I heard it I was hooked on Rock & Roll forever even at 60 years old I still Rock out. Drives my wife crazy. Thanks Sina your awesome.

Same here. I had a Portable Cassette Player I would carry with me. 7th, 8th , 9th Grade. A hand full of the Girls and my best friend at the time would go sit way out at the end of the Athletic Field and Rock Out.

This video is so very awesome!!!!! Watching this drum performance was so great to me for a number of reasons. First, when I was kid in the 1970s in Massachusetts, Kiss was incredibly popular, and this song was a big part of Kiss’s repertoire (I had the album and desperately wanted to see them in concert, but no such luck, thus this is my first time watching a “live” performance of this song that I loved as a kid). Second, Peter Criss, stood out more than your typical rock drummer and maybe it’s because of the cool drums that we see here on this video. Peter also sang “Beth” which was a big hit for Kiss, but I think it was his drumming that made him stand out. Thanks Sina, you have done it again!!!!!❤

Who taught Peter Criss to play the drums is the great jazz drummer Gene Krupa.

I commented once I liked how she only set up what she used for the video she was shooting, and she replied she didn't like stuff in the way if she doesn't need it. That was on The Kinks video, Lola.
