I find myself really looking forward to your videos. They're always informative and high-quality. I've been inspired to try my hand at styrene fabrication, which I never thought I would do. Thanks for the content!

That's amazing! Great job, and glad I could help inspire!
I’ve never seen styrene flow. You learn something new everyday. Nice truck!
Great video! Wonderful builds! I especially like the louvres on the class 1 build!
Dove Tail and Pinched Nose.... Not that I'm capable of either - but you certainly are!! Looking GREAT Matt!! 😎🙌🙌🙌🙌👌 Carmine ✈🚂🚙

Anti-Wrap Bar.... I had mentioned that earlier - but in NO WAY take credit for giving you the idea. You've been using them for years! 😉
Wow! ... you have so many good tips! .. thank you !
Great idea on the brake line guide for winch.thanks!
The braided wire cover looks sick. Nice and clean!
Enjoyed the comp builds even though I don't compete. I do love scale & your Axial 6x6 based extended XJ on the shelf behind you is awesome!
I'm a fan of your channel and I've been waiting for ep2! I had a sc10b laying around and you inspired me to turn it in to a no prep drag car! It's really cool! Thanks for the videos keep it up!
Excellent work as always 👍
Class 2 contender for sure! Great job on the shocks👍
Nicely done sir
Styrene weld seams...very impressive! The truck is starting to remind me of a Geo Metro project.
Looking good! The XJ6 on the bench is an awesome looking rig!
3d printing pen makes scale welds really easy. Allows you to make the same motions as welding, & leaves the same style of bead. Use silver filament & there you go! Awesome build!
Love that TF2 awesome set up.
I think they both look great and I think they will both perform great as well
Just put boom racing links and steering components onto some metal ar44 axels for the scx10 2. Love that truck. Awesome videos
That is a pretty sweet scale!
Personally I love your class 2 rig its unique and I am eager to see its finished look!
Great video. Tip. The GForce scales are also sold under the SkyRC brand. They are great for setup of any RC car.
we used similar scales to get vehicle weight and center of balance of military vehicles and equipment for aircraft shipment in the military, just like yours but larger for heavy military trucks.
I'm not usually amazed by RC's because I've been building primarily trail trucks and Monster Trucks for 31 years...but your Trailfinder build is amazing...I just love that build. You did an amazing job.

Ha, thanks very much Tom. Very kind words.
I got those links on my Element. He makes really nice stuff. They make a difference for sure on my rig.
That 6x6 on the shelf.
Awesome vid as always thank you so much for making the vid. Good luck with finishing the comp truck and I can't wait to see the spray job on the one you called the ugly duck.
I love watching your videos, I've been watching a lot of them and finally just bought my first scale crawler to get into this world, I got an Axial scx10 II Cherokee RTR to get me started, but I have tonnes of plans and ideas for it including making my own styrene custom body.

Fantastic! Welcome to the hobby!
I'm looking forward to seeing your rigs in person in March. I personally think that pinched nose and boat sides are the two bed options for class 2. That's what I run on my Mojave body. I really dig the look of your c2 body, great job so far!
Ooh! Turksandjerps’ 6x6 body build! 😬🤘🏼
Cool video, awesome trucks, great work and skill. I want one of those Gforce weight scale gauge looks very handy machine to have for the hobby. It's definitely not cheap tho.. Thanks for the input. :)
I am working on my tiny truck while talk in the back ground and when you said "barely legal" I actually laughed out loud.......stopped what i was doing and waited for your next comment, which didn't disappoint. hahahahahaha
I think the body is very very rad.
80 series Ute is on of my dream trucks. I love this build ❤️
You have the truck sitting with the shocks compressed, droop is the shock fully extended. And I had wondered if someone made an anti wrap bar for scale trucks.
Love the shirt so Canadian
Once again good stuff man. I’ve actually never owned a RC4WD rig. I was doing some research on my next kit build and you’ve convinced me to try the tf2 kit. Soon!
All lookin' good man. -"Angry" Dave
NC❤ MOUNTAINS backyard RC AND MORE. Cool cool stuff 🖒
Kick Ass!
I highly recommend Pro PLA from 3D Fuel. It is as strong as ABS and PETG, but prints as easy as PLA.
Epic shirt boss! Six wheeler XJ travelling I noticed, before it's finished, promising! And lastly, 'a stronger bond is what we need', indeed; whether it be styrene or rc friends for that matter, thanks 💪
Nice vid
The 80 is looking really good! Hopefully you don’t have to hack up the front fenders too much but I’m sure you’ll have to do some trimming. I’m looking forward to checking it out in Vegas.
@scalebuildersguild

Funny that most people have missed that it's already been pinched and fenders have been completely removed... ;)
@bmuzz1
4 жыл бұрын
Scale Builder's Guild I knew you pinched it and removed the flares already but it looks like it may need a bit more trimming if it’s sitting at finished height?
Your class 2 now reminds me of a 2000 Geo Tracker.
"I'll be sure to put links down below..." - sounds like a good place to put them... 😂
The class two looks a bit like a Geo Tracker. Nice builds!
I must compliment you on your excellent choice in shirts featuring ducks..
My favourite RC channel by far., and not just because I got a free rig out of it. 😉
When checking wait the Front wheels must be straight caster will cause error us race car guys know this great show 👍
Pinch and boat sliders. Helps get onto and then across the obstacle. What I’m really interested in is that 6x6 behind you. When is that video coming?!

Haha, soon!
Really nice trucks but 6X6 CHEROKEEEEEEE!!! 🤤
Pinch and Dove tail 👍🏻
Never had a leaf sprung truck and I no they make a scale shackel called a revolver witch I did own in full size truck I had and the give you incredible axel articulation for a leaf spring truck are they legal in comp I wonder love to buy a yota and build it to one I had as a kid beating around in trails keep up great work have a wonderful day
Can’t wait to see the class two rig run the droopy thing, never seen anyone do that, are you sure it will do what you think it will do? Will you ...............droop enough ?
Looks like a Sidekick/Tracker, or maybe a X90 to me.
Jesus that g force scale is crazy!?!?🤯

Great video. Im building a similar Marlin and wondering what length your link is from servo horn to front axle?
Nice shirt, joining the cast of duck dynasty as the city slickin cousin??? Lol 😂
Buddy, I like every video I’ve seen on your channel👍🏽 Edit: I think that you forgot to link the wire loom😉

Hi Matt, I just received some part from A&M Garage and am looking to do a similar build. I was wondering if RC4WD over/under transfer case would be a good option to control the amount of overdrive once the transfer case is flipped? Thanks.
You may have mentioned it before and I just missed it, but what 3d printer do you have?
@scalebuildersguild
4 жыл бұрын
Tevo Tornado, but considering an upgrade.
Reminds me of a suzuki sidekick for some reason.
So what? No link to the links? Barely legal, multitasking scales for Kingpins and a shirt that begs the question, are you coming from or going on a fowl hunting trip? I love this channel you always entertain! I don't think that truck is ugly at all. It's awesome and one of a kind! Can't wait to see it all finished up! Great vid as always!
What adhesive do you use when modifying hard bodies? Good place to get styrene?
C2 rig reminds me of Brad Lovell's 2011 U4 car - just remove more of the body, paint it blue and put AMS Oil sticker on it.
Hey Matt, what internal springs did you use for droop?
where did you get your rear external shock tower for your marlin... need some.. and thank you for your great video too! :)

H bagged you on your sliders Josh!
What vanquish overdrive gear set are you talking about? Looks like they only have a 30t/8t for the AR44 axle.

It's for the VFD transmission: www.vanquishproducts.com/vfd-21-overdrive-transfer-case-gear-set/
Great video as always! I'm just getting into 3D printing so I can make bits-n-bobs for my tiny trucks, what software do you like to use when designing your parts? Thanks in advance, keep up the good work!

I use Fusion 360. Steep learning curve but worth it.
I’m building my first tf2. I got a tamiya yj and I’m going to stretch it and do a cage on it
Nose pinch and boat sides for me.
So what is the benefit of the servo winch over say a scale bumper mounted winch? Is it just strength and durability? I've noticed they have become far more popular than a scale winch these days.
@scalebuildersguild
4 жыл бұрын
Strength, durability, and reliability. I may install a winch on front, but only for show.
I'm in the process of building my first class 1 comp rig. I bought all the a&m parts you used as well. I watched this series and I do want to do the chino mod. But what I was curious is what are your thoughts on the o-ring mod? I heard it bends leafs easier. If it matters I'm running the rc4wd yota 2 axles but installed the heli-cut gears as my funds aren't in the budget for vanquish axles,lol. Thanks and keep up the great work 👍.
@scalebuildersguild

Not a fan of that mod, personally. I’ll keep doing the Chino mod though, that is a lifesaver!
@jonlaird5082

@@scalebuildersguild ok great,thanks for the info. With the chino mod,do you do front and rear axles? Also do you do the front and rear on each individual leaf spring? I'm hear mixed answers,thanks again
Man that shirt is awesome! No link for it? Great video you making Proline By the Fire again this year?
The LC80 is a great looking body, here we have 2 1:1 that has been made a pick up truck
Great video, what razor saw are you using ?
Your TF2 Marlin is looking sweet as a double double with a sour cream glazed !! Will you be adding some paint to the bumper? Or will you keep it raw? I'd love to comment on the other two vehicles but I haven't seen them yet.
@scalebuildersguild
4 жыл бұрын
I prefer it raw.
The Land Cruiser 80 would look great as a Red Bull truck,
What weight oil was used on ur droop setup on c2 vanquish? Did u use the pen spring mod too? Or different springs?
@scalebuildersguild
4 жыл бұрын
Pen springs are unreliable. I get mine from McMaster Carr. I don’t have the codes in front of me, but will update when I do. 45 wt oil.
U ended up moving your rear upper links to the top hole didnt you.. I had to to allow it to flex lol
Could you do a body fitment video for specifically the TRX4 Sport? Forums are loaded with horror stories of difficulties of people trying to fit bodies to the TRX4 Sport. Even though it’s a 12.3” wheelbase the rear shock towers mess with most pickup truck bodies. Mainly a what fits best video, but also have some bodies that fit with minimal modifications. It’s already understood that most require the removal of the back bumper or flipping the mounts
@scalebuildersguild
4 жыл бұрын
There's tons of bodies out there, and most websites list the dimensions, so it's fairly easy to determine what will fit. Shock towers are always going to be a problem, it's all about deciding what you want more, performance, or looks. I try to tow the line between both.
@jonthomas8487
4 жыл бұрын
Scale Builder's Guild Thanks, I’ve heard the only body that allows you to install and keep the stock sliders and not add holes for the towers is the J Concepts 1982 K10 GMC. I’m considering doing a Fall Guy truck as the roll bar is available as well as the sticker for the hood is offered on Pinterest in custom sizes. I doubt it would crawl well as the body is pretty boxy and tall, but it might surprise me. The 1978 Proline Chevy K10 stepside is also a pretty easy fit as I hear
The guy that gave this video a thumbs down is like me as of late hasn’t had enough tiny trucks in his life, it’s ok buddy go pick up a crawler turn the frown upside down 🤣 great video though 👍👍
As always good stuff, but you really didn't want to hear my ideas for food prep scales?:/ Had to buddy. As always great work. I aspire to that level of scale realism
hi i need help to make a hj47 full detail ute and have not realy done much work making custom shels for a trx4
Love the channel. Dig all the work and advice. ...here's and question tho I'm sure, I know hardbodies score more points but do c2 competitors comp with hardbodies anymore? Thanks a bunch.

OK. Down to the serious business. Where did you get the duck shirt? I need one.
Class 2 reminds me of a Geo.
Weigh 4 of your 5 a day !! That shirt looks quackers !!
Does the Noob still make those drop beds?
I see the 6x6 xj 🤔
So is 3/16 th your go to for roll bars and bumpers ... I want to start making my own and was hoping for a little guidance.....great job and yes I agree Josh is cheating a bit ...but he got KC on his side....
Is there a weight limit per class on trucks say class two trucks last three class 1 is there a weight limit

I would do the tail Bob and the boat side. Also, do you have an ear ache?

17:03 ... Oh man, if only we knew.
From the side it looks a little bit like a Suzuki sidekick jeep. sort of
