Rivers of Croatia - Go Wild

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Croatia is home to extraordinary rivers. Few in Europe compare in terms of the richness and diversity of nature found here. Maybe no other European country has such diverse, yet so preserved rivers as Croatia. Adriatic coast is world-known, crystal clear sea, rocky coastline with ancient stone towns...The sea is however not the only richness of the Croatia. Its rivers are undoubtedly one of the most important values. From murky and slow lowland rivers that flood huge floodplains; through short and fast mountainous rivers that flush on rapids; then rivers in Karlovac region with travertine waterfalls and slow, almost marshy parts with lush vegetation; quiet rivers in karst polje that are lost in the dark underground only to spring at other place; until big Adriatic rivers in deep barren canyons with waterfalls, that meet the sea in narrow estuaries like Zrmanja or wide delta like Neretva.
The rivers of Croatia are unique in Europe, due to the diverse geology. However, they are never far from people, so these rivers are always fragile.

Croatia is the country my daughter chose to get married in. We live in the state of Georgia in the Southern United States. If I had to choose one country to live in, it would be Croatia. I pray they do not allow foreign interests into their country like so many other countries have. They will destroy Croatia's natural beauty, wetland ecosystems, and harmony with nature. This was an amazing documentary, so beautifully done, the videography was spectacular. And water will soon, and already is, becoming the new "gold", as it becomes scarcer in many countries that have abused their own natural rivers for their monetary value. The mighty Mississippi River that flows unusually North to South, and flows through many states dividing the United States in half, and is a major transportation route for the moving of supplies and goods in the US, is now drying up. So is the mighty Colorado river which supplies Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and many other cities with water. I hope Croatia does not allow this to happen to its pristine rivers and waterways. But you can be assured that many foreign interests will try to capitalize on Croatia's vast water resources as their own rivers, lakes, and streams, dry up because they have misused them with no concern for the health of the rivers and water sources or the natural flora and fauna that make up these beautiful water ecosystems.

There is about 15 hydropower plants in Croatia, mostly built in ´60s and ´70s and they make about 40% of are el. power production. They are mostly in the mountainous costal part of the country. Country is in green energy mode, in a few years we´re gonna close the last powerplant on coal, and reduce gas consumption.

If my life had turned out differently I would've hoped to travel just to to see wildlife. Nature tourists may be looked down upon by many, but I'd rather see an animal in the wild than living in a cage any day.

Question. Is this AI narrating? It's not giving at all. The monotony is dreadfully disappointing. The timing is overwhelming. The voice is all over the presentation. Bearly anytime to absorb the footage.

With a little more practise the narrator of this video could likely achieve the patronizing and condescending ways of David Suzzuki, who has mastered the "skills" of talking down to the audience. 👎
