River Fishing - Double Figure Bream! (Video 234)
Спорт
You join me for another trip down the river during late summer, fishing late evening until midnight and hoping to get amongst a fish or two. I was rather surprised to break my bream personal best during this trip with a lovely double figure fish!
Many thanks for taking the time to watch the videos guys!

@captainfrank01
Жыл бұрын
@@francolinobasco The rain has slowed down here Mark, but the Murray River is reaching peak flow next week due to interstate rain, with the highest levels in 70 years. All activity along the river in SA is banned by the Government due to safety concerns. No fishing until probably next September 🙄 I will be visiting a river town next week to do a short video on the conditions.

Spot on fella. Going bankside is a fantastic thing to do if you are having a bit of a time of it. Many a clear head has been found, decisions made and disasters averted having spent a few hours outdoors watching a float, a rod tip, a Kingfisher or hearing the cuckoo in Summer. I'm sure I 've heard it mentioned before elsewhere but it should be prescribed by GP's... WOW to that bream. I had a 5lb one last year from a lake, and that's my PB... Have a great Christmas.

mark that bream is a brama fantastic and near 12 pound river bream is a fish of a life time well done that man,,if i caught a fish like that i would be over the moon... ,how any angler could stick their nose up at a fish like that is beyond me ,but are they anglers or just trophy fisherman egoist in the fishing world ,they lose out..... ,mark that is a brilliant fish by any standards and if you put all your big catches up on screen ,i bet not many could match them let alone catch them .your doing well mark and don,t forget it .tight lines,until your next adventure down by the waters edge,cheers.

Wow that's an absolute monster bream,,. And looked a young fish for that weight, not the old dark type,, could grow more ,, whats the record on the river BTW, as a northerner up in lancs id take that over a double barbel ,, you could have a long wait for another. 👌👍 .

Just found your channel I'm fishing the local river for the second time i was put off by the cult barbel anglers that fish there but I say fuck them lol great content seem like a nice guy
Congrat's Mark. Amazing bream - I knew it was a big'un cause it moved 🤣. Glad to be able to see the backlog of adventures you were having in the summer, so thanks for all the hard work editing and posting (though it's a bit strange watching you in your shirtsleeves on the nocturnal bank, while currently its brass monkeys)

Haha Tim! Yes I opt for a back acatalogue because generally I can be fishing elsewhere without blowing my spots while fishing them if that makes sense, which is easily done at times if you don't keep a a bit of a time gap as such. Yes it has been cold but i have been out chub fishing and whilst tough during those rod eye freezing days I did have a cheese paste robber in the net!

fantastic video and congratulations on your pb, just a superb specimen. Im getting back into my fishing now after a very very long break so just a quick question if I may. I have never ever used a back lead in my set up but like the idea of it.Would you only use one on a smallish river like the one you are fishing or could the back lead be used on a much bigger river ie the severn. Thanks alot for taking the time and trouble for doing these uploads I Love em.
@francolinobasco
Жыл бұрын
To be fair Mark unless you are on slack areas on the Severn it may be harder to use a back lead due to the flow on a larger river like the Severn which can lift the back lead up and cause issues. In floods unless i am in a slack i simply dont use a back lead.

Hey Mark, as affable as always... As always my friend I love your videos. I'm finding it hard to fish without my Dad anymore. I truly hope in time that it will remind me nicely of him and not so much that he's not here anymore & I miss him... U really need to get together with my friend Ant, he lives in Thatcham and u both fish same venues and he sees u around sometimes but both your fishing style's and beliefs match bang on and would be a shame if u never met. Keep up the great work and keep the videos coming... All the best to u Sir... D

@@francolinobasco I know mate. My Dad taught me everything I know especially when it comes to fishing & Cricket. So being on the bank without my partner, guru & more importantly loving Father is just too difficult at mo!!!! I truly hope my sincere love for fishing will overcome that feeling in time & just leave me with the truly great memories I have of us on the bank. But at this moment it feels so, so far away... I would give ANYTHING to have just a few more minutes in the swim next to Dad again. I don't want to be greedy and ask for a last hug, but just a bit of father/son banter from ten yards away again would be unbelievable. And would giv me the chance to say a few things I should have, but I'm sure he knows anyway... Talk about your Dad in your next video pal. He deserves it.... And on a closing note I just wanted to say in your father's words "gosh, it went like a Bat"... lol... Keep up the great work and keep more videos coming because your good at it...x
