The UK currently is the fastest growing economy in the G7 with a lower rate of inflation than the USA and the eurozone, with a lower rate of debt to gdp in the G7 apart from Germany which is teetering on recession.

He says higher taxes won't pay for schools to have basic supplies, NHS GP surgeries to be able to see patients, potholes to be filled, river pollution to be stopped etc. - but that's exactly what taxes should be paying for! Energy bills doubled because we have a privatised energy system and the dash for Gas which took no view on dependency on a single world traded commodity and the effect price instability might bring.
