Good, good, very good but... the F.2B was never called the Brisfit by its users according to Jon Guttman, who wrote a magnificent book about the plane. The ugly nickname Brisfit was even unknown within the RFC during the war and certainly never was used by its crews when the RAF was founded in 1918. The common name they gave the plane was the"Biff" and the crews were called "The Biff Boys". It was the written press who came up with the word "Brisfit" a long time after the Great War.

I understand Sebastian Fick's comments from a story-telling viewpoint, but his observations are very general and don't address the technical and creative challenges implicit in working with a vehicle based simulation. I'd much rather see this type of film than some ludicrous adrenalin-pumped fantasy "Dogfights of WWII". I assumed it was your intention to demonstrate the combat action in (or close to) real time, and that will always be at odds with progressing a story, but this is a simulation striving for realism. I think this work is exemplary as a creative application of the Rise of Flight mission editor, and an outstanding technical demonstration of the simulator. Good Job.

Rise of Flight isn't a simulator either. No WW1 pilot could get as many victories per flight as is common in ROF. All it is is an arcade game that looks very pretty. One day, there will be a game that rises to the level of "simulation", but this ain't it.

Nice video, for the age (and FREE status) of *Rise of Flight* it still looks incredibly handsome TO THIS DAY! - I really thought they'd have begun work on a sequel by now! This is a popular sim with good IP name recognition.....And they have assets all ready from more recent IL2 outings to snazz up! - There's clearly a core long-term player-base and KZreadrs ready to cover it, there's new VR tech capabilities to leverage - so I don't see what's holding them back? The one area (other than day/night + weather conditions, and better interactive ground detail) for me would be audio, which is often workmanlike at best when attempting verisimilitude / immersion in gaming / simming.....Sound puts you there every bit as much as fancy graphics do! (Like in rally games, they often leave minimal the sound of gravel and physical bumping / stresses etc on the car underside / chassis....We just get brrum Engine noise and tyres...)

It just slept away because of all the mistakes made by the developers, lack of vision, including the last one when they rigged several planes in 2014 to please a handful of uneducated / bias veterans. Nowadays it is a Mario Bros version of the original Rise of Flight and the servers are always empty, lots of noobs and AI all over the place. It is indeed sad. BOS is the same old. Lots of complaints and only one Russian server being populated / which alienates every western player due to poor connection. Wonder why. At least DCS is coming with the Normandy map to save some face for the [old birds] sim community.

In this video you can see two multi role combat aircraft (for reconnaissance, observation, and bombing) DFW C.V protected by two fighters Albatros D.III. Only two fighters. Also there is next historical fact: "On 30 November 1917, while flying Brisfit A7288, Andrew Edward McKeever ended his career by attacking two German two-seaters protected by a flight of seven Albatros D.Vs. The D.Vs paid dearly for their protective role, as McKeever and Powell (observer) destroyed four of them, one of which burned. When Powell's gun failed, McKeever feigned being shot down and dived out the battle. He leveled off at only 25 feet altitude and, hidden from enemy planes by a shield of fog, hightailed for home. The remaining Germans broke off contact. This epic battle earned the Distinguished Service Order for Captain McKeever." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Edward_McKeever en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leslie_Powell

The idea of telling a story was quite good, but as a professional, I'd recommend either cutting it down to 10 min or less.. because some shots where either too long, or had no relevant content for telling the story (I mean, in a movie, if someone gets out of his car and goes up to his apartment, you don't show every step of it, like getting out of the car, shutting the door, walking up the drive, unlocking front door, going up flight of stairs, unlocking door of apartment, entering and taking off shoes.. you only show whatever is necessary to get the information across..) a good rule of thumb is, if the shot is longer than it would take for you to say what happens, in words, the shot is too long ;) Alternatively you could also consider adding music and or voice acting, to make the video more interesting ;) (one last no-no: an intro of over 3 min is tooo much.. at least if people don't know what kind of video they are getting into.. in this case a narrative short film) apart form that, very nice camera work ;) just some friendly pointers to help you improve your work :)

If you planning on making a movie out of this, you need to cut a lot of the pointless clips of it flying to the objective area. The intro was too long, no need for such length unless you plan to put some credits in them. A few scenes is enough to send the message to the audience. Enough that the audience knows, don't need the whole process. Too many different angles of the same scene, reserve those for significant and dramatic moments. Some background music would be nice. After the mission was successful, showing the fighter fly back is enough to convey the finale to the viewer. No need for the whole landing part. The still-shots/screenshots are cool, but you should put the credits with it at the side or corner so they aren't just pointless other than look cool. The music at the end don't match... Would recommend something else tbh. Any left over credits can be done in the black screen. If you doing this for just gameplay sake, then its fine but the initial presentation with the text and stuff give the impression of a movie. If you are making a movie, those texts can be used for information like the squadron the fighters are part of and the unit crossing the bridge for example. And small subtitles that tell you the location etc. That would help the audience understand the situation a bit better.

Would have been awesome if KZread didn't place a advertisement every 3 minutes of the entire clip. This is BS. I love your channel but the add thing is ridiculous. Hope you are getting paid for it though.

Do you realy see adds every 3 mins? To create this video I i have spent about 200 hours. I have bought many equipment, trackIR, controllers, powerfull PC. During all time no one send me any donate, only adds send me some money. If you really feel the pain when see adds, please find other videos on youtube without adds, do not suffer on my channel.

The German fighters were far more advanced than this Britol hunk of slowness. They could outclimb, out pace, out turn and out gun this British hunk of slowness. Go the Germans, I get so sick of watching these old re enactments where the Germans always lose at the same time as having far better technology in WW1 and WW2. And then my ancestors were German. Norwegian, Scottish, , Irish and English and now we (or I am a New Zealander). It just gets boring that the Brits win all the time; when they/we were lucky the USA came in on our-side. And yes the USA saved the USSR as well! Oops I should have said I had swapped to WW2. Now we have Putin being a NAZTI, PutiniZm is NAZTI. We have to stand by Ukraine!
