My grandfather told me the RFC aerodrome at which he was stationed was bombed on several occasions by Gothas. Unfortunately, he was assigned as gunner in an RE-8, and by the time they "scrambled" and got to altitude, the Germans were back at their own field hoisting beers after a successful mission.

Love the photos at the end. A nice touch. Good way to really bring attention back to history.

That nose gunner’s one cool dude. Low level banks and fly-bys in a Gotha bomber and he just sits there as if he was on a park bench.

To be frank. I would love that one of these sims would allow you to go free range and walk some of those areas

A well put together video, but one thing why did you fit electric starters on the Gotha,s Mercedes D-4 engines?, the soundtrack is wrong four cylinder DH Gipsy Majors, should have taped a DH 89a Dragon Rapides twin DH Gipsy Sixes an engine very similar in sound and performance to the Mercedes D-4.

Your ROF videos are outstanding! Did you use the free camera to get some of those camera angles and how did you get to have so many aircraft statically parked at the airfield making it look more realistic? Thank you

+justinspirational To make such video better to create custom cooperative mission in ROF editor. There are several static aircraft models there and many other objects. And I prefer free camera F11 when editing recorded tracks. This method needs much time, but gives so realistic result.

There are two music tracks in this video: 1."Pursuit" sound track from video game "The Movies" 2. "Preußens Gloria" by Johann Gottfried Piefke.

Very difficult aircraft to land due to a very week undercarriage.

They should understand by now that doing Channel map will fail.. Just need an other theater. done and redone too many times

My PC configuration I use to fly is: AMD Phenom II X6 1090 3.20Ghz, 8 Gb memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480, Creative SB X-Fi Fatality. Flight controllers: Saitek x52 pro, Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals, Saitek Pro Flight Yoke + addition Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant, TrackIR 5.

Sorry! From Wiki"The last and largest aeroplane raid of the war took place on the night of 19 May 1918, when 38 Gothas and 3 Giants took off against London. Six Gothas were shot down by interceptors and anti-aircraft fire and a seventh aircraft was forced to land after a protracted close quarters engagement with a Bristol fighter of 141 Squadron from Biggin Hill, crewed by Lieutenants Edward Eric Turner and Henry Balfour Barwise."

Be merciful to me, please. I use the simulator to create these videos and can attract two pilots only - me and my brother. It is possible to use AI pilots, but they fly very unrealistically. Maybe in the future, if such videos became more popular I could attract tens of pilots :)
