While in Riggins, ID. It happened to be Matt's Birthday and one of the things he wanted to do was take an all day UTV ride in the mountains, and that's just what we did. We traveled 90 miles on forest logging roads with a hike to Marshall Lake in the middle. Follow Big Salmon Rd just south of Riggins which turns into Forest Service Rd 103, Then we turned on French Creek Rd that carried us up the side of the mountain all the way to Burgdorf (a small mining town known for its hot springs). We decided to turn around there and come back to Riggins but if we had time we would have visited the mines in the area as well. The smoke from the wildfires were thick in the area which hinders our views a little but it was a beautiful ride.
