Idaho Bikepacking - Trinity Mountain

Kent and I head out to the Trinity Mountain area to ride the Thunder in Paradise Loop with a few alterations. The weather was perfect, but with highs in the upper 90s it got pretty toasty in the afternoons. We both loved this ride and couldn't believe the consistent amazing views it provided.

Amazing views. That's a place I'd love to go bikepacking at.

Bikepacked from Featherville to Atlanta over some crazy pass, spent the night and went back over an even crazier stretch. Shorter than your route, but steeper and had to hike a bike in 102F temps with zero shade. Looks beautiful and brings back some good memories. We were both on rigid gravel bikes running 55’s. Were you both on hardtails? Mon know the wheelie king was, but didn’t see the other bike. If rigid, what did you think was best for that route. Thanks for the great filming!

I was on a hardtail. I think a rigid MTB would be great on this route as well, though. A gravel bike would do just fine out here as well but I appreciated the extra comfort and being able to ride the downhills without much effort, even if the climbing was a little slower on a MTB.
