I went to their show in LA like 20 years ago and it was epic. They need to reboot.

Those club days were based around the drugs of the night, cameras, Publicity and the outfit!. It's funny how people will try and paint a very different picture of what happened during that time period?. Thank goodness for people like Nelson Sullivan who was able to capture that time period on film! RIP Nelson, you will always have a place in History due to your contribution of Documenting the1980's.

Re: All the "drug free" comments - I did personally know a few (less than five) proper drug-free ravers or club kids in NYC scene in 90's, it could happen...but I knew more MOSTLY sober/"responsible" users, many of whom referred to themselves as "drug-free". I'd met/interacted w/Richie Rich several times (didn't know personally) & he always seemed to have his shit together....n as a person who's normal state is "abnormal" I get his point...ADHA & Aspergers - yeah, my "normal" can make people think I'm on drugs....almost denied entry to a rave in 95 I was fkng promoting cuz I was unmedicated & they thought I was "tweeking" (talking a mile a min -"look a squirrel!") -totally sober. So it happens, but yeah, not often.

I think people are deflecting their insecurities onto him. I personally thought it was amazing that he said he was drug free! I've never done drugs and I'm also normally the life of the party! It can happen. Some of us are just naturally loud and entertaining without that stuff! :)

he's never taken credit for being the club kid originator. he's credited with being one of the key people of the scene along with leigh bowery, james st james, michael alig, etc.

I agree, dood looks high, full of anxiety, and definitely down played his addiction issues, he was homeless and slept all around NYC at friends cribs

I genuinely don't think he is on drugs. I think it's more of a nervous energy. I've adhd friends who act similarly. Or maybe that's just him.
