Lol i know right. Shes up there fighting for her scene and having (some) people tell her its not right or they shouldnt do it. Meanwhile, 25 yrs or so later shes more successful than any of them including the Host! She was always the cream of the crop though. She was in NY since the mid 80's dressing like her superstar self and singing and dancing and doing her thing. It was only a matter of time before she made it big. In fact, there are several former club kids who people may not even realise who became rich famous. My personal favorite is Lisa Edelstein. James St. James is very popular as well, Lady Kier from Dee Lite, DJ Dimitri, Richie Rich, Randy Pop and Fenton Bailey. I could name lots more who became very well known and famous, but those are some.

fergilcious ya, some people don't like to stand out. Some people do. To each their own. It's only sad if they are going against what they want to be doing. If they are drab and boring because they don't have the courage to be who they really want. But that's no reason to hate on people. Who cares? Let people be. Unless they are hurting people, who cares? The shame is hating others because they are 'normal'. I used to be a wild crazy party girl in my 20's. I became a mom at 30, and now I love to just be home and spend time with my family and not call attention to myself. Do I deserve to be hated because I'm `basic`?

Damn some people are so closed minded. By the club kids dressing that way and partying, how the hell does that affect you?!? Or is it hurting anyone else? It's one thing to be judgmental or against becoming a club kid yourself but to actually become ANGRY because of how other folks dress is just sad and ridiculous. Saying that they are mentally sick is like saying that eccentric people are all sick, artists are all sick, comedians are all sick. For what? Being a little more out there, liking neon colors, not exhibiting rigid sexual definitions but that are ultimately keeping to themselves? I think the sick, immoral bad people are the ones that let the arbitrary things others do to make them feel angry or upset.
