I would love to see you continue a "forgotten items" series. There are so many tried and true products out there that get passed over because they're not new and exciting, but they're still hanging around for a reason!

The revlon colorstay foundation has been my tried and true that I always go back to for YEARS!

I got the Revlon color stay lipliner in Raisin after your recommendation. It’s AMAZING!! I have so many lip liners and I had nothing like it. It’s the perfect color! I hope your weekend is awesome!!

I wish they'd bring back the CLEAR lip liner! I use it as an underliner for my eyes, so any powder eyeshadow becomes a great eyeliner! Can't find the darned thing and I just bought only one less than 2 years ago.

I really toned down the amount of coverage I was using daily a couple years ago and the Colorstay Light cover has been THE BEST. I haven't seen much buzz about it which is unfortunate because it has the beautiful staying power of the original formula just with less coverage. It's what I wanted the glossier skin tint to be!

I haven't seen a lot of reviews on it either. It's disappointing since I've never been a full-coverage girl outside of my under-eye concealer, and almost everyone on KZread is all about that full-coverage foundation. I was hoping to see some more reviews before I splurge and buy the foundation, but it looks like that's not going to happen.

@@americanfairy yeah finding reviews for products that aren't really full coverage can be hard. I was having the issue of all of my more coverage base products looking really heavy all the sudden but every bb cream I used just disappeared from my face. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something lighter weight!

Oooh. I remember back in the early 90’s, when Revlon was what you wore to look like Cindy, I LOVED the lip color in Sienna. I went through several of those!

THANK YOU for giving Colorstay foundation some love and attention! It doesn’t get enough. It has been my holy grail foundation for years. From time to time I stray because I want to try the new “best” thing, but I ALWAYS go back to Colorstay foundation. For my skin, nothing works better!

Thank you for spending time with another woman--especially one that is older. Women need to stick together and appreciate each other. There is much to learn from those younger than ourselves and especially from those that are older.

The Revlon colorstay eyeshadows in the pot are great. Also, their fierce prismatic quads are beautiful, even have duochrome shadows in them.

I so appreciate that you swatch colors that you talk about, e.g., the lip liners. So often you watch a video and the content creator is talking about something s/he is raving about but you have no reference to go by. THANK YOU ALWAYS!

Revlon Colorstay foundation was my holy grail in high school and still is!!! I’m 43 and it never fails me 😃

In the early/mid 90’s (when I THINK the Colorstay line started) I “graduated” to Revlon after an almost exclusive use of Covergirl as a teen. I thought I was hot stuff! I was buying the “expensive” makeup at the drugstore! 😂🤣😂

Revlon colorstay overtime lip color!!! It’s one of the 2 step products, stain on one side and gloss on the other. My go to lip product for probably 2 decades now. I own more shades then i would like to admit but my faves are endless spice, constantly coral, perennial plum, and infinite raspberry.

I switched to cruelty-free beauty products a few years ago, but I remember loving Revlon Colorstay before that. It was totally my HG. Wish Revlon would go cruelty-free like Garnier and Cover Girl did.

It’s so funny, I’ve always wanted to try the Revlon Colorstay foundation but hesitated because I thought it was too full coverage. But now that I’ve seen it on your skin, I think I’ll finally give it a try. It’s a bonus that Colorstay is so readily available in Walmart, Target, drugstores, etc. I’ve used the lip liners over the years and was always impressed by their staying power. I have to remember to get them out & use them again. Thank you so much for highlighting this line! You created a beautiful look and inspired me to try something new. 💜

It’s not full coverage without a heavy layer. It’s about medium, similar to Maybelline Matte and Poreless. (I prefer the Matte and Poreless, though.)

I just bought the Colorstay foundation and forgot how much i loved it! I've been spending so much on high end foundations and just not finding something that worked for me. Colorstay has the perfect shade and finish! My skin looks about 10 years younger!

It's one of the only foundations that doesn't look start looking dry or settle in fine lines.

I tried this foundation probably eight years ago and loved it than and love it now! I have tried so many high end and drug store foundations and I still keep coming back to revlon. Thanks for posting this!

So here for this! I love the Colorstay foundation. As someone with fair warm olive skin, it can be hard to find a good match, especially at the drugstore. Buff is my perfect match. Perfect medium coverage and makes me feel so pretty 😍

This is a super timely video! After being a colorstay foundation devotee a decade ago, I just recently picked up a fresh bottle within the last month and remembered why I loved it so much.

Revon Colorstay was introduced to the market in 1996! "WON'T RUB OFF" was the tag line and when it was introduced, it was revolutionary. Cindy Crawford was the model on the ads. Now we just now it as matte😂

I was a big fan of the original Colorstay foundation formulation from the 90s. This was the ONLY liquid one that stayed in place on my crazy oily face! Nothing nowadays compares. Nice memories, great video!

I have worn Revlon colorstay ever since you mentioned it 10 years ago in a video! It works so well with my skin!

Revlon Colourstay foundation has been my favourite since I first bought it 5-6 years ago. It really checks all the boxes- it has very good coverage, it last all day and it has a nice shade range where I live. Usually we have only 4-6 foundation shades from other drugstore brands, but we have more with Revlon CS. I try different drustore foundations from time to time but still this is my favourite!

After your video, I pulled out my revlon color stay. I tested it for two days and of all my drugstore makeups that stayed on the best and after several hours still looked awesome. I did also use the revlon primer underneath. Best lasting, best looking of all my foundations so far! Thanks!

It’s still as good as I remember! Rum Raisin is a classic, I remember you talking about it back in the apartment. I’ve had it on hand since. I don’t know how many times I’ve repurchased it. Your throwback products featured on videos are, honestly, very useful. Ususally you see the "new new new" all the time, so the good stuff that isn't new kind of goes on the waysisde. I discovered the absolutely awesome rimmel stay matte foundation because you talked about how wonderful the powder is when I was looking for a new foundation. It is amazing on my oily/dehydrated skin! I wouldn't have found it if you hadn't mentioned the powder (which I plan to get as soon as I finish my current one). Thank you!

Revlon colorstay is still my ride or die foundation. It has to be the most consistent foundation on my combo skin and it comes in a shade that is perfection for me.

I’ve recently rediscovered Revlon Color Stay. I was quite faithful to it in the 90’s; when they first launched, they had a lipstick I loved. The shade was called “Flesh”. Back then, those were very drying. But I loved that color!

I got the Revlon lip liners in Plum, Raisin, and Mink after your review on them Em and I love them! Super staying power and they go on so smooth! 💄💄💄

Revlon Colorstay is my favourite foundation, has been for years. Nothing beats it for me in terms of shade match, longevity and wear. I might need to try the powder now, never have for some reason. Thanks for the video ☺ Hope you and your folks are all well 😊

I remember using colorstay normal to oily in high school with a dry makeup wedge/sponge. I had bad acne at the time and it covered and stayed all day. I found it to be full coverage with a dry sponge and the foundation’s ability to build coverage. I still love this foundation in the normal to dry variety and a damp beauty blender to reduce the coverage.

I love the Revlon colorstay normal to dry. I bought two back ups because it’s hard to get here. It wears great and the shade is just perfect for me.

Revlon Colorstay for oily skin in shade Toast and Revlon Colorstay overtime lipstick in Relentless Raisin is my favorite perfect go to fall look.👌

When I worked for Ulta (about 4-5 years ago) revlon colourstay foundation was a best seller. I had a lady, probably in her 40s, told me that this is the only foundation she wears. The shade she bought was a 100% perfect match for her and it stays all day for her. After seeing this I need to go get one myself!

I use the Revlon finishing powder and two shades of foundations, I love them!

I was so excited to see the Colorstay love. The foundation in the normal dry formula is my drugstore HG. It rivals many high end foundations. I also love the Revlon super lustrous lipsticks. So many shades and several different finishes to choose from. I’ve been reaching for them over my more expensive products.

I used Revlon ColorStay Foundation in the late ‘70s.

I had to go find that pallette, reminded me so much of the 90s. I found it in a kit with brushes and lipsticks, soooo cute.

This totally brings me back to late 00s and early 10s when I first started watching your channel!! Thanks Emily!

I still love the colorstay foundation. That combined with a powder and setting spray is so good for staying put on my oily skin and also for staying on under a mask 👌

Morning Em! Since the pandemic started, I’ve found myself not really wanting “full coverage.” I like letting my skin breathe more. Maybe it’s the mask wearing or the fact that I’m 35+ now but I like foundations like this. #classic ❤️

I recently ordered your revolution palette from target. Got it yesterday and LOVE IT! I usually don’t love eye and face palettes bc I find there’s only certain shades I like. But I love all the colors in your palette! Happy I have it now:). Congrats❤️

I have 3 colors of the Colorstay foundation. It's a good mixer, too. I have the purple and blue quads of shadow. I like those and I pair them with other shadows, too. Colorstay is a good line.

I will admit Revlon's product quality has been all over the place post y2k (I'm still bitter with the discontinuation of a lot of Revlon's lines: Street Wear, Moon Drops, R Pro, Velvet Touch, Ultima ll). But I will stand by their Super Lustrous lipsticks till kingdom come.

Super Lustrous lipsticks make up about 65% of my stash. Primrose is my standby shade that I use as a base for any amalgamations that I want to create. LOL LOVE, love these tried and true lipsticks!! My other favorite brands of lipsticks are L’Oréal and Maybelline. Drugstore lips rock!!!

I loved Ultima II as well. It was more expensive than Revlon and I had a beautiful case - a christmas release - full of their makeup and skincare. It was extraordinarily special. I loved the eyeshadows.

I still wear that foundation for stage stuff it works so well

Revlon has a beautiful highlighter It’s called skin lights in shade daybreak glimmer. I’m not sure if it’s part of the color stay like but lately it’s been my go to
