I am so new to KZread and have renewed my love of beauty products. I am 45 and my daughter is 13 and has started getting into makeup, so we watch your videos together and go shopping for makeup together and talk about it and are TOTALLY bonding over makeup and your videos, so THANK YOU! I started using false lashes because of you, Tati! I feel the most beautiful I have ever felt because I'm taking the time and making the effort to really take care of my skin and wear my makeup again! So thank you. Really, thank you so much. NYX!!! I'm broke and i love NYX because i feel like it's just right in the middle of drugstore and high end. Please review them :) I already own quite a lot of the collection but i'd be interested in seeing some products that i'm scared of buying. Hi Tati! I rarely comment on videos but today I feel like making an exception. Your videos are so amazing, always top noch quality and great content. I love how you don't sound scripted but at the same time it's not just a lot of mambo jambo. Honestly, I don't believe how you can do everything you do! I'd like to add, and it would surprise the younger viewers here is that not only was revlon the most popular, it was the best quality at the drugstore. For me in Canada, all we really had was the Big 4 plus max factor. In terms of popularity I'd say it was ranked revlon, covergirl, L'Oréal, maybelline, max factor. In terms of quality of products across the entire line it was revlon, max factor, L'Oréal, covergirl and in dead last maybelline. Now the worst seems to be at the top and the best is now the worst.

I don't think it's gone downhill so much as just hasn't stepped up their game. I think they have stayed stagnant while other drugstore brands are upgrading constantly to compete with high end.

Me too. it's too thick and gets cakey on me if it's worn alone. I usually mix it with a lil bit moisturizer

Tati, so glad you did a drugstore brand video. I miss your Monday drug store shopping excursions. Revlon has always been hit or miss but that's indicative of any brand, of course. I give them credit because they (and Ultima II) were among the first brands to introduce long wearing formulas throughout their line. Like you, I give them high marks for their Super Lustrous Lipsticks. Again, Revlon was ahead of the curve, a great formula (better than many high-end brands) with over 70 shades and some of the best reds on the market.

I really love this video series and would love to do more. I trust your opinion more than anyone else on youtube and I can always count on you for a fair and honest review! Thank you for that!

I used Revlon colorstay foundation all through high school up until freshman year of college and realized it was super pink on me. I love Fit Me foundation now. It looks way better.

For you guys its so much easier because you're not worried about wrinkles.... I'd say drink lots of water, limit sugar intake, use a toner, moisturizer, and the occasional hydrating mask.

RonHeartsMe it did that to me at first... But when I use the Nivea men after shave for primer, then I apply a SMALL amount with a makeup brush just to get a thin layer on. Then I apply a pump down with my finger all over my face and use a beauty blender and it goes on perfect!!

Ashley Crutchfield I am a big fan of Milani as well as their sister company Jordana (not quite as good as Milani but much more affordable). I love Milani liquid lipsticks, their regular matte lipsticks, liners, baked blushes and bronzers, their single Bella eyeshadows, and their eyeshadow palettes are pretty good too. I tried the foundation, it's nice if you have yellow undertones and can find the right shade. also avoid if you're dry. oh and the clear brow gel.

siobhan morley their matte lipstick line is an all time fave. They really know how to do red lipstick without it ever bleeding or transferring too much. My go to is either matte iconic or matte confident. 100% matte of the matte. But stay away from matte love and matte flirty unless you had a good dark cherry or berry lipliner to pair.

czarpoesia Me too! Started with the Earthy eyeshadow palette then got Matte Flirty lipstick ass gift and fell in love. Then I got the rose blushes and highlighters, baked powder blushes are sooo good! Lastly hunted the bronzers, color harmony blushes gorgeous and the Strobelight highlighters found many at Target! Check their clearance bin they still had the color harmony and Strobelight highlighters. During Christmas clearance got the bronzers awesome very fine no chunky glitter at all. No glitter actually! Don’t know why Target was displaying Milani then all of a sudden they are on clearance. Well, lucky 🍀day for these beauty junky. Lol!

One product by Revlon that I still use and love is the Quick dry base boat for my nails. Also whipped out some nail colors from them lately, like Urban (a nice navy blue color) and Chameleon (a cool green/gold duochrome). Vixen is also a good classic shade for fall (very deep, almost black red burgundy shade). Revlon polishes are overlooked, they're decent, almost always opaque in two-three coats, and they last AT LEAST as long as Essie polishes...!

Yes. Revlon is expensive here in Australia. The colourstay foundation can be around $36. I always buy mine at the 50% off sales. I really like it and I have a foundation addiction and have tried many, both drugstore and high end.

Virginie Van lynden Max factor is no longer available in the USA. They only brought out a mascara and an eyeliner for a limited time. Covergirl well, P&G owns Maxfactor and Covergirl. But Covergirl and Maxfactor are not the same!They use different laboratories and have different products with different "formulas"!!!

kissproof Maxfactor and Covergirl are not the same! They are both owned by P and G but they are completely different cosmetics lines.

Maxfactor was the first brand of makeup I ever wore. Foundation, shadows, etc. It is unfortunate that they arent offered in the US anymore, partially because I associate the brand with classic Hollywood.

Blend and Glam max factor was just brought back to the US! I just saw it in ulta a few weeks ago and I've heard you can get your hands on it at rite aid

i have only one matt revlon stain gloss, and i love it so much i wear the crap out of it. I'm gonna have to go get more. but the color i have is a pinky nude and it just goes with so many different looks. i love it

and if you leave it on for more than 4 hours it dose turn matte, and it will acted as a stain, i wear it to work all the time.

celicalover1 I love L'Oréal for a drugstore brand. I'm not a big fan of Ulta Brand makeup. It feels cheap. But the Sephora brand makeup is usually pretty decent😄

I'm loving these drugstore favorites and hate its, please continue! There are so many products at the drugstore but so hard to choose because you can't open them up (well, shouldn't be anyway). Its great to know your opinion on the different brands/products).

That colour is simply stunning on you. Really makes your eyes pop!

I would love to see a Faves and Hates from Catrice and Essence products

I agree that Kat Von D and Ofra might be better option, but not everyone can afford those. Other companies have good, affordable liquid lipstick. I hear good things about NYX, though I've never tried it. And of course, there's always Colourpop.

I always try to be smart with my spending, especially with things for just myself, like clothes and makeup, and I'm really good at watching for sales and deals, etc. But, lately, I've come to the conclusion & reality that I've spent way too much on cheap (aka drugstore [well, not ALL drugstore makeup]) makeup! Really, I've had to give away or trash so much that I tried to make work, that was low quality. Wasted money that could have gone a long way toward the purchase of good quality makeup and skincare. And, this, I have learned from you, Tati. Thank you so much for your wonderful, smart videos! You're just the greatest!
