I am almost 70, a male, with skin discoloration, and this is my most dependable foundation at any price level! I love to mix formulas in the spring and summer, because at almost 70, I have combo skin, and it helps with skin dehydation, which we all get after50. In the winter I love the dry formula. It always delivers!

The other 2 drugstore treasures overlook is Fit Me Foundation and Loose Powder! I love mixing the dry and oily skin version, set with the loose powder it lasts all day!

Fun fact. My grandfather married my grandmother in the early thirties and my father was their first born in 1933. My grandfather got a job repairing office equipment- typewriters and adding machines- and one of his customers was the very early incarnation of Revlon. He felt that the men were “odd” because they sat around painting their nails and fluttering their hands to speed drying. My classic favorite foundation has sadly disappeared. Estée Lauder Country Mist. They only make one shade now, if at all, and my shade was Vanilla Beige. There is something to be said about Cover Girl Clean Makeup. I can’t use it now but used to have it in my stash when my skin acted up.

I love this foundation. I’ve used it for years and it’s so consistent and I find if I have a foundation that needs some “help” I can combine it with this and find that it can help most problems. I hate to waste product so using this gets me the results I need and I don’t have to toss the product

I don't understand why I keep leaving this foundation. I always have to come back because no foundation performs like it. I never get breakouts and rarely oxidizes. My only issue is that they don't have a good powder.

I found the Revlon ageless foundation in 10 bare buff on clearance at Tjmaxx and tried it bc I remember loving revlon’s cream to powder compact foundation years ago. The color I found is perfect! It’s so great for dry, mature skin and I hope it’s not being discontinued! Now I’m researching Revlon classic foundations and found your review. I think I might try this one too! I love the ageless 3X foundation! Love all your reviews especially since I usually wear your shades! Helps a lot! Have a blessed day!

I did a quick search on the Revlon website, and it looks like the Ageless Foundation is still being regularly sold. I though maybe that one had been discontinued because I hadn't seen it in stores for a while, but there was no mention of them discontinuing on the Revlon website, and it looked like they were still selling all the regular shades (a good sign that they aren't trying to sell out their current stock!) I loved this years ago (before the pump!). They changed the formula, so I changed to the Maybelline Matte and Poreless. I don’t wear it straight anymore, but it makes a phenomenal mixer, and it’s one of my few perfect shade matches. ☺️

Girl! I ALMOST brought up the fact that we used to have to use the non-pump version that we would pour out and get too much, or tilt over on our finger and not get enough! Oh how we SUFFERED! 😂😂😂 ....And I have to ask is the shade 150 Buff your perfect match? I love that shade!! 🥰

@@foundationlady Nope- I’m a little lighter than that. It was ivory. It was the lightest shade I could find for many a year! Maybelline Matte and Poreless is my perfect shade match (102 Fair Porcelain) now. Also Missha Perfect Cover in #13.

What a great video! I love the old throwback advertisements and the history of Revlon. There were a few things I didn’t know like in the 1950’s Revlon touted and advertised that women wore makeup for themselves, not men and I also didn’t know that they were the first to use a black woman for a model. Go Revlon!! I did, oddly enough, know the story about Christian Louboutin (sp?) and the red nail polish. Lol I think this foundation looks beautiful on you in all lighting. I went and looked and I do have it in my foundation stash but I haven’t opened or tried it yet just bc I have others open I need to use. I have to start looking at the expiry dates of the ones I have open. I know some of them need to go. As far as a staple of mine I do reach for my L’Oréal infallible if I want to be sure my make up will look good and stay in place. I am going to be opening and trying the Revlon though! I think I got a good shade match too. I already use the Revlon colorstay powder every time I do my makeup to set it. THAT is definitely a staple of mine. So now I’m excited to try the foundation. I haven’t been able to try the Miischa BB cream I have yet bc I’ve been sick blah! I did put some on the back of my hand and it seemed to have a neutral undertone and it didn’t seem to oxidize either. Again, thanks for this video. Very fun and informative. I love seeing the old pics and learning the stories. And that pic of Norm! So very regal 👑 he needs a treat ❤ sending much love hugs and prayers your way ❤️🙏 keep right on shining! 💗🌟💫✨

great staple foundation that I always repurchase however I recently switched to the normal dry formula for my mature skin but its quite matte on me (quite possibly because the skincare I use is a bit drying).

Awesome video, ma'am, thank you! Really enjoyed the extra information and print ads you featured, too--what fun! Like Carol S stated earlier, Cover Girl "Clean" Makeup has been around seemingly forever and, IMO, it's still actually quite nice though I think it's time to retire the Noxzema fragrance from the product. Estee Lauder's Double-Wear has been around since cave-paintings, I think, as has Max Factor's Pan Stik foundation. It shouldn't come as a surprise to a fellow foundation collector that I have all these in my own collection. Might really be time for an intervention for me... Ah well, thank you again for the awesome video, and please convey my fan-girl greetings to Norm. 😍

@@foundationlady Sadly, the ELDW really needs to be retired or replaced (both?) as it is expired. The Cover Girl and Max Factor are both relatively recent re-purchases and I use 'em both when the mood strikes. As for the cave paintings, I ought to know--I was there! ;)

I love everything about this video!!! The oily version of this used to be my HG. Now that my skin has changed and I'm like you, normal/dry, I may have to try that version. Do you mix them because you like the resulting finish more, or was it strictly for the color?

Hi Kelly! 😊 It’s one of those that will be in my drawer for a while and then I’ll pull it out, use it, and think, WHY DID I EVER STOP USING THIS!!?? 😂 They have for sale at my Walmart for around 6 or seven dollars? 😍 And I love how it looks mixed in with moisturizer, liquid highlighter, or even other foundations that need a little more oomph. Hi! I would definitely recommend grabbing it. I've recently fell back in love with this foundation again (used it for years and then stopped when they reformulated it in 2013). I go in with a smaller amount than what I used to use and blend it out with a beauty sponge and it's beautiful and very lightweight. It lasts ALL day on my very oily T zone and looks great on the normal skin on the perimeter of my face.

I love Revlon. Yes it does stay on for 24 hours and it looks better with time. I've used it for over 36 years. I've tried many but none compare. If you see a brand come out with a 'New' type of products then Revlon has already done it years ago first. If you ever see a new mascara wand by other brands, Revlon has done it years ago first and that goes with other products. Revlon is a hidden gem. When you've tried all the other brands because of hype and are not so satisfied, you can always go back to Revlon and feel the real luxury. It covers and feels good on skin. They have iconic products that will rival any brand out there. I wish they had more products on shelves these days. It's hard to find.

I need you help foundation lady friend! This foundation is discontinued in my country (Chile) and Im running out of it. I don't know what to buy next, I don't have the same selection that in the US, but if you could help me with some alternatives it would be aweome. Hi Catalina! 🤗 I am SO sorry to hear they are discontinuing your beloved foundation in Chile! 😥 So there are a few options... starting with the higher end products, there is the Estée Lauder DoubleWear (which many consider Revlon ColorStay to be the "dupe" for...) or something along the lines of MAC Pro Longwear foundation (although sometimes the MAC lines can be a little bit hit or miss for me as far as shade options go...) For less expensive options, you might want to consider the elf Flawless Satin foundation, the No. 7 Stay Perfect Foundation, or if you want a really matte full coverage finish, the Maybelline Superstay Full Coverage Foundation. None of them are an exact formula match to the Revlon ColorStay, but are definitely solid formulas in their own right! I hope this helps!! ❤️🤗💕 *Just added another comment below for you!

@ Catalina... I just had to jump on here and amend my previous comment, because I JUST tried out a foundation TODAY for the first time, that actually reminds me of Revlon ColorStay! Its the Almay TLC 16 Hour makeup! I just happened to play around with it today, and noticed that it has a similar coverage and finish to the beloved ColorStay! Hope this helps! ❤

I was talking with one of my dear friends the other day about how we both think the version for oily skin performs MUCH better than the dry skin version... and we both use that one, even though we have dry skin. Just thought I'd mention that, in case you hadn't had the chance to try the oily skin version? Or maybe this one has just changed too much for you, and that's ok too! I'm Unsubscribing because you lied about the coverage of the new one. I bought it, returned it because it has almost no coverage and I used a brush with two layers, You lied. Revlon use to be my one and only foundation until they changed it to this. Revlon use to be Iconic, now they're just garbage.

I’m so sorry to hear about the frustrating experience you had with the new Revlon ColorStay Foundation.😔 I completely understand how frustrating it is to LOVE a particular foundation, only to have them change the formula up on you! When I used the new formula, I noticed the viscosity seemed a bit thinner, but (for me personally) I didn’t notice enough of a change in coverage for it to be particularly notable. I can COMPLETELY understand though, how well you must know the original formula (as you mentioned it was your one and only for a very long time) so it must’ve been much more noticeable to you, the difference between the two formulas. And I thank you so much for sharing that with me, so that I can note it for future videos and/or when another viewer asks about this foundation.
