Revit Tutorial (Day 73) - Parametric Corrugated Panel

(Quarantine Day 73)
Today we are going to do a simple exercise and create a parametric corrugated panel.
I did this profile quite randomly, you can make it any shape you like.
Basic steps are:
1. create part of the profile.
2. load it into the host family.
3. make an array with this profile and create a formula to control the array number with the total width.
Done.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you Bin. Another very useful video 😊. Could you tell me how does it turn around corners? And is it possible to split the panel into different heights on top of each other? Many thanks again!!

Yes, you can. This curtain panel will not work if the shape of the panel is not rectangular. It will be replaced by a system panel.

Hi Bin, thanks for the tutorial! How would I create a similar corrugated panel that oscilliates downwards rather than across ? Thanks!

@@BINHE615 Sorry if the phrasing was confusing. Basically, a corrugated panel that would look like this exact video's, but it is instead rotated clockwise 90 degrees.

I believe you can use a face based family (with a void to cut the base) to cut this panel.

And for area, you can just create a parameter and use Length*Height as formula.

Thank you so much for your answer sir, and one question again, can I add a new door automatacily in this wall coggurated wall ? (Have embedded function like curtain wall)

@@I_kiza_real You can not place a door in this panel because it is a Generic family. But you can convert this family into a curtain wall panel, and create a curtain wall with it. Then you will be able to add some curtain grids and change the panel into a door. Maybe I can do a quick video to show you how to achieve this.
