Make sure you select the correct family type, another thing is that your profile might have an open loop, go back and verify that your profile loop is closed and lines do not overlap. I hope that helps with your problem.
Can u please make paramatric mesh fence boundry wall with height 3 meter and key post in each 4 meters.

If you wanna change color, take a look on your Mullion family, inside have material parameter.
the family didn't show in properties helpp
