I think it is more reasonable to use a flat wall with some pattern or material.

I subscribed to the channel today. Very useful! I am quite new to Revit. So sorry for the dumb question but I cannot attach the curtain wall to the roof as my roof is not flat and needs the curtain wall to be extended to it. What would be the problem and how to address it?

Could be different reasons: 1. The base of the curtain wall is higher than the base of the roof. 2. The curtain wall is not covered by the roof. 3. The profile of the curtain wall after the attach top/base will not be valid (e.g. having lines less than 0.8mm long) You can post your screenshot in the shared document if you still have issue.

Okay, it is because a normal curtain wall panel can only be rectangular shape. This family will not work when you use attach top/base.

Ahhh i see , I am using your day 500 model.. it was a redone of day 73 right? should the model work with curtain wall panel family ?

No, they are different. 500 is a line based.

i found in your previous video about converting units and did so, however when i drew up curtain wall with multiple vertical panels, it gave me gaps in between.. i must have done something wrong here.. guess this is beyond me. lol

@@BINHE615 what i did exactly was this, i extracted the family 6 from the model you gave me, and loaded into the curtain wall in my rvt file. i did not directly use the rvt panel file you gave me. maybe i shoud?

Single width parameter works but Depth dosen't work.

My bad, I just checked and I didn't upload that family. It's the Video Day 73 and have a try and see if you can model it yourself? Let me know if you have any questions.

0:34 I see here Depth,Thickness,Single Width parameters. But at Day 73, you didn't put these parameters. I tried to put these parameters but it doesn't work.

If you follow the Day 73 video you should be able to model this panel with the parameters.

Guys the problem with using curtain wall as the motive is it wont attach to the underside of any roof that is angled. It is also difficult to clip openings for windows.

True. Usually this is the time I start to ask myself, is it really necessary to model this? Will a basic wall with some surface pattern work better?
