Seeing puppet characters using puppets is like seeing cartoon characters make a cartoon.
Every time I watch the show and I'm at this episode, I'm like: "No! It's almost over!" My favourite episodes have come and gone. Everyone knows about the rebellion. I can see storylines coming together because the end is nearing. It's a pretty depressing roller coaster.
Thanks for making these cause I miss talking about this show! It was just a simply great fantasy show that told a great story with a celebrity cast and excellent directing that won an effin Emmy. WHY DID THEY CANCEL THIS SHOW IN FAVOR OF MORE GARBAGE?!!! Please Apple, pick this show up! You already got Fraggle Rock! Take on Dark Crystal.
Favorite part of this episode has to be the puppet show. I can't believe that Rian and everyone were expecting things to be bad. The opera, I can understand, might not be to everyone's taste, but a good puppet show like this should charge $100 tickets, at least! Least favorite part is seeing what happened to Tavra. I love that character so much. Favorite character of mine in the show tied with Kylan, favorite character of mine in the books tied with Onica, Kylan, Naia , and Amri. She's the wisest of the three sisters, out of all three, she breaks the rules of the clan first, and she's just all-around best warrior princess . Also, has a badass girlfriend, even if all we got as a hint that it was canon was Tavra saying her name with familiarity once. She and Brea should be co-All-Maudras, with Seladon on probation as a consultant for at least half a trine, and then she can rejoin as a third leader. We don't hate her, we just want her to have some form of repercussions for selling out her sister and the entire Gelfling race (Excluding her own clan. Except a few tributes every now and then, of course). I mean, I hate Tolyn, but it's not fair that he gets the ultimate penalty for betraying his comrades, while rich Seladon gets away with possible attempted genocide and definite treason scot free. Anyway, these last few episodes are the hardest for me. Considering Tavra...I admit, I usually end up not finishing all the episodes when I rewatch because I don't like seeing what happens. Or I skip that part. Can't wait for the next vid.
Love the series
The Conqueror/Heretic’s story reminds me a lot of Saul/Paul’s story from the Bible. A ruthless war general who changes his ways after receiving a vision/revelation from a higher power.
Thank you for continuing discussion about this show, I love it so much. I'll never get over the immense disappointment from its cancellation, but this helps keep it alive!!
I like the ascendency so much. It was like the last thing the show needed to be perfect. So the timing of introducing this concept was spot on.
Regarding the drug stuff: I wouldn't be surprised it was cannabis or their version of it. They surely have a whole menage of recreational stuff, judging from Deet almost eating that berry lmao. Girl was about to go on the trip of her life if it wasn't for Rian.
I really hope we can get to see more Dark crystal videos from you! You explain it very well.
I’m really looking forward for episode 10 👍👍
