You bring out a very good point; the bag should be fairly full to get the best "feel" with the exercise. As you said, you don't want the bad to be floppy. I use a light bag, packed full, for a conditioning workout. It also works well with bodybuilding exercises.

Great insight. It definitely works well for many typical barbell exercises.

Appreciate this video! Looking at buying my first real sandbag, and wasn't sure if the medium once was the one to go with. After watching your video, I think it'll be a good size to start out with.

Thanks for the great video! I have the BruteForce Kettlebell and the Strongman. Just purchased the Barebones Spartan one. Not sure what to do with that one yet and would enjoy a video showing workouts.

Sure Joseph, What type of exercises or using which sandbag would you be interested in.

i got the brute force 75ibs sadnbag, 45ibs kettlebag, 30ibs weightvest, and a 150 ibs dingo bag, some gym rings and a punching bag. i think that will be good enough to get me in tip top shape.

Rounded one or the one with handles ?? Which oneis better

If you were just starting sandbag training would you get a sand kettlebell and sandbag? Or 2 sized sandbags For reference I’m not strong lol

For you I would recommend first getting the Kettlebell Sandbag. Very versatile and fun to move quickly or throw around (load to about 30 lbs). Best case is to get 2 bags, 1 small (Kettlebell sandbag) and one Medium (such as the BruteForce Athlete size). I’ve not yet tested theirs but it appears to be very solid construction and good value for a non-USA, China made made kit. I’m gonna need to get one to see how it is. I’ve been pleased with 5.11 in the past.

Absolutely It’s a great all round size. If you use less weight you can take up the extra space with a foam “fun noodle” or other filler.
