closed system nowadays? seems to me like a very unclever move from Cambridge Audio
If they’ve made all that effort to create a new improved transport , why not add conventional digital outputs on the back , so that anyone wanting a new transport could consider it, rather than creating such a small market with only Evo amp users able to use it ? Used value is going to be very limited . Seems like a. Missed opportunity.

They do make a separate disc transport already for conventional systems, called the CXC, that fills that niche. This really is a companion product for the EVOs.

@@chrispygreens6297 yes I’ve seen those . It’s suggest this is an “improved” newer version, so it would be an alternative to the existing ones? . I don’t know how well the EVO line has sold , I’m sure I recently saw quite heavy discounts on them , in the hundreds of pounds ? . Just seems self restricting. My old transport is away for a service , but is so old parts are not available, so it may mean a new one . Fingers crossed

The sticky rubber pads to raise the height is mentioned as if it’s a good thing. Is nobody asking why Cambridge Audio didn’t just make the height of the two pieces of kit the same? Seriously.
