That's a dangerous comment to make 😅. I would love to have matt as a DM but I would dread most of his players as a DM. With viva la dirt league, I think I'd have fun either way.

That was one of the things that surprised me about the main 3. In their patreon updates and personal videos, Alan comes across as more authoritative, Rowan seems to be just generally having a good time, and Adam seems to be the organized guy with the to-do list who's making sure everything is going in the right direction. Basically none of them match their portrayed characters, but they all fall into those roles so well. Adam recently mentioned even that his wife finds his characters frustrating because they're all so passive and he's not.

I'd suspect it happened in reverse. Ellie came up with her backstory which involved a crime family in the elf islands and then Rob worked that detail into the story when they got there.
Everyone is in such a genuinely good mood at the table right now and it's making the episode so much more enjoyable for me.

Okay, but honestly, I'm so proud of the guys and the solutions they came up with for their prep. The cutaway made me think Rob had to give them more creative help, but they were actually really good on their own. Also Adam and Rowan quick on their feet, even if silly, with using their tokens. Also, absolutely adored the flash backs 🤣🤣 Killed me with laughter.

I really appreciated The "stealth is optional skit". I couldn't remember if it was epic NPC man or FPS logic that did that one and it turns out it was both :D

Honestly the nature of the great gaps between your sessions make it pretty hard to remember such details like Edwinas lastname. When I take a story thread from three years ago and bring it up again, I would not expect my players to get that at all. And that's for me the greatest joy to see them in aww, because they managed to connect the dots in the campagne by themselves.
Rowan needs to say, "everyone come hear and listen. My grandfather's hammer..."
Rob's laugh when Ben just rolls the perfect terrible roll.... twice. Priceless.

Good job Rob! Way to use random improved backstories from one-shot guest characters to form major plot points of the campaign.
Overall a great episode, but the subtitles in this one had me in stitches just as much as the show itself. Lorquin is a real gem!
I was hoping Bodger would suggest disguising themselves as the "Custodian" family and they'd walk in with brooms and mops to clean the place and casually plant the evidence. That or suggest they locate Eldwina and get her assistance lol

Rob, I absolutely love that you incorporated the Blades in the Dark game mechanics for running their heist mission. I wish more GM's would look outside the game to find unusual mechanics and systems like this.
I can't be the only one who was trying to do the math on the heist tokens to figure out how much each was worth, right? 7 made sense for everyone except for Bodger. I'm confused. Unless Rob was rounding up at over half way. Also, Lorquin's subtitles give me life! Love you guys and all that you do!
I love the way you run heists it is so much better than sitting around the table for two hours while players plan and the less patient less plan-y players slowly get more bored and withdrawn from game.
