I enjoyed the Elite/Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy reference with Rob's throwaway final line of "Mostly Homeless".
I really liked how Alan was trying so hard to stick with what cleric Greg would want to do with regards to the child in the cage, even though it would mess up the plan. Reminded me of the epic npc skit which I believe is called "doing the minimum" where greg gets really upset with Ben's character for not rescuing all of the children from the bandits but only the minimum required for the quest lol.

No, I am already against that in the first place, to me metagaming is fine. This episode specifically is the way I see it, we presume that the characters prepared beforehand and go "that is why I did X", instead of having the character take minutes frozen in place. Like a writer, it's fine to think about the situation as you come up with them. The same about talking amongst the players, we just assume that they made a decision or a plan beforehand. As long as no rolls have been made, everyone can pitch in, no need for a ticking clock or having the characters say it out loud in front of others. It really annoys me if a DM forces us to spend more time in taverns talking hypotheticals than actually dealing with challenges. Think about the sled dogs and other stuff. We can presume that the party always sets up alarm and puts their things away. If we somehow penalize these joke tangents and yet force players to describe mundane actions in detail, I would just walk away from the session. No joke, that ruins the enjoyment for me because it's no longer roleplay, it's just boring.

GG Alan for RPing Greg so well this episode!
I am so excited for the party to miss Rob's countdown by screwing around too long and the world just ends randomly while they are getting the full elaborate backstory of some shop owner or something.
This all heist segment is really awesome. I always loved the way Rob involves the players in the narration, like on a dice throw he asks them how they picture the things happening and I find it awesome. But it really makes a lot of sense with this heist token mechanics. I assume not every player would be into this since it requires some level of invention and oral skill, but players get to be a kind of DM for a few seconds. Also we don't praise the subtitler enough, he's doing an awesome job. As a non native speaker, it provides additional comfort, and this series really deserves to be spread across borders. Looking forward to more every week. ;)

Cheese usually keeps quite well actually, so I was surprised when he said that. Have spent most summers in a no-electiricty, no running water place, and cheese is usually the last thing to go bad (other than modernly sealed stuff and potatoes). Especially if you opt for wax sealed cheese, which I feel like would totally be a travelling ration thing in fantasy worlds. Salted, wax sealed cheese.

Rob, my guy, cheese is one of the best things to take on long journeys. Specifically because of how it goes off. Mould only grows on the outside of the cheese, so the inside remains fine. At least with hard cheeses. So yeah, cheese would be pretty likely to be in an adventurer's rations.
I am actually pretty amazed at how far along they managed to get in this plan without fucking up :O Sidenote: The NAT 1 guard was hilariously on point for video games
Damn cliff hangers.. Another hilarious episode. I love how concerned Greg was until the guard walked in. That 1 on perception was the only thing that saved them.
This is great. The run time of Ocean's 11 is 127 minutes, which is about the same as the 4-5 episodes of VLDL_NPC_D&D. What happens if the child in the cage tells everyone "Four people broke in and put a bunch of stuff in crates. One of them was going to help me but the others stopped him, so informing on them feels like karma. Maybe they'll let me go if I told them what happened, I saw where they put everything - or maybe they'll get rid of me."
Great episode guys! I would say that I’m surprised that nothing bad happened, but I saw the preview for the next episode. 😆
I feel with Greg, I have the some trouble in my D6D group, where they also don't listen to my concerns. But I hope in the end Greg the White will become the hero and save the poor girl. Would be awesome to see him in a green screen, where is coming out of the building with the poor girl in his arm, like a firefighter. Looking forward to see how this heist will go (and the trouble they will bring them self into)
I keep coming back to this heist set of episodes cuz its really funny. Rob staying straight faced while Greg try's to keep it together really tickles me. 😂❤😂 its also very fun because Alan (i hope I got that right) is a really good actor and then when he pretends to be an actor in the game he is still so good at playing a fake hammy actor. Love all of you. Still excited to see more girls guest star again! Im on episode 141! I hope Brit can be the princess again!! The ending of isolation games was k ind of moving and poignant. It was another time Alans acting was really captivating. He really thinks from the characters point of view and thought process and its awesome.

BOB: *smashes statue* Second Manticore: *appears* Rewind! Rewind!
The Elven girl feels like the typical "secret test of character" sidequest that RPGs luv and if you save her, saved her, you'd get bonuses galore because it'll turn out she's a hostage or something. Or it's just another one of Rob's sucker baits, yet another "Red Herringbone".... but the real trick is getting Baradun and the Dickheads conditioned to saving people, not blowing them up from the inside so it would seem genuine to me. But what you do isn't just save her, you take her place. You got acting skills, you got a magic mask, Greg. USE THEM. Or better yet, give the mask to Bodger. Surprise, surprise, surprise....

I'm surprised Alan didn't do a "I knew I wanted to save the girl... so I made a life-like doll of her. I slipped my horse pocket into her cage, had her pull out the doll and climb in - thus extracting her from the cage without having to open it up!" Thus the girl is removed and a, hopefully convincible dummy to replace and ward off any suspicion for a little while. (because I think they said there's enough air in there for a bit, right? Just don't forget to open it ever 10 mins or so? Though that would be traumatic if he forgot. lol)
That "next episode bit" made me really REALLY wanna watch the next, I don't want them to fail this heist!!
I have read a *lot* of fantasy books and people absolutely take hard cheeses as part of their journeying food. I have probably read some version of "shared their last bit of dry bread and hard cheese" hundreds of times.
The green screen guard walking into the group with intense music, looking them all in the eyes and walking away was incredibly hilarious. Also, I can guarantee the group doesn't want Greg to break. Have they forgotten flamethrower Greg? Because I haven't. Beware the wrath of Greg.
I would just like to say that I started watching this series with the closed captions on, because I didnt have headphones and needed to be quiet, and now that I watch with headphones, I still always make sure to have the closed captions turned on. Whoever has been in charge of the captions is a comedy genius. I would like to know which member/s of the team are involved in that because it deserves serious credit. And its a shame that its entirely possible that people will watch the whole series without knowing just how hilarious they are. But... I see you. and I love you.

this deserves a million views. you guys are underrated
Greg gives me mad going evil vibes. First all the stuff he had to endure with this party, than his stare in the washing maschine after his robes got full of blood for the second time in a row and now this pronounciation on him snapping. Would absolutely love it if he just has enough one day and becomes evil. And it would be an understandable backstory or origin story of a Antagonist. And by the way this episode was incredible, made me laugh so many times.

I believe he or rob could get the spot as the final boss
Please more "That Shits Dingo" shirts. I'm moving to Australia next year and I need a shirt to wear on the plane.
Lmao Rob trying to find a reason to get the rats to attack xD

He is less successful rat trainer than Bodger is a dingo charmer.😂
I have been up all night with my newborn. But I have never missed an episode and I am not going to start now!!!!❤❤❤
Excellent leads from Rob, great way to keep the story fresh.
Im at the voting part and my heart is racing! Idk what I would of done because I would want to save the child but I know I we cant take anything. They also make good points about how can they safely get her back and not implement themselves in thieving or breaking and entering.

Maybe it's a good thing they didn't save her, there's always the risk that she was a demon disguised as a child.😉
"Greg speechless for once" - whoever writes the CC definitely adds to the flavor of this show.
Bens joking around is fun and exciting, cuz i never know if Rob will make it canon! Adam dealing with the rats was awesome, run away food! 😊
