Got that one in the stash but was baulking at painting it as black is notorious for showing every little imperfection so it comes as a surprise that they also came in different colours. Also have the 2006 GT350H kit too

Cool. Every now and then I think about doing a red or green GT350H!

Glad you liked it!
My first 24 hour build was a 1969 Chevelle SS 454 in red with racing stripes used the laquer 2 part spray paint from testors I think and painted everything at once it was so easy if you use all fast drying spray paints and gluess

Yes, that is the trick for a quick build.
Great video with some cool stories. I bet the 24hr builds were quite a blast. I am curious to discover some of the Hertz rental stories now so a google search is in order. Thanks for the video, good job. Take care and be well

The stories are fun. I have read many on specific cars that were restored in magazines.
Both look great!,another option for wheels is the custom wheels that come from the Monogram 70'Mustang boss 429 kit, they're factory correct for a 66'gt 350 and gt350H.

Thanks for the info
The stories I’ve read stated that there were 252 manuals, and a total of 1000 black, with 50 each of the Ivy, Candy Apple, Wimbledon, and Sapphire

The numbers do jump around and change with time. I read the same 1001 total built with about 50 of each in the other colors. That leaves about 801 in black and the first batch was sticks only then most were automatic after that but a few sticks as some clients requested the manual. Why 1001? Story is that Hurst ordered 1000 but they included the original prototype but Shelby did not. So the very last one did not get rented out.
Both are nice builds Raul.Building that one in 24 hours is amazing. It would take me that long to do the BMF.

Just subbed to your channel. You do a lot of the cars that I like to build. I don't know why, but KZread just started recommending your channel. I'm getting ready to set up my model building workshop again after a move so I've been watching hours of model vids. I remember doing this Mustang several years ago. The only thing I didn't care for were the decals seemed to be too transparent. Especially over black paint, they looked dark like your first build. The decals in your second build look much brighter. Were they from a different kit from the first one?

ataristeve Thanks for subbing! The older build is the original release and the decals were more transparent. The second build is a later release and the decals were much better!
Hey man, you are still rockin' the cool cars here! American muscle for the win! Love the Shelby and your history was an interesting touch in this video. Thanks for that. I subbed to your channel a while ago but I'm not sure if you've ever swung by mine and left support. No worries. I'll keep checking in here for your newest content because it's a great channel for hobbyists like me. Take care in these crazy days, brother. An online friend from Switzerland - Andrew

I'm gonna have to get me two more of these kits and build some twins I did this car as my first model to get back into modeling 6 years ago and looked like garbage compared to how good my builds look now. I'm gonna have to go get some kits they sell them dime a dozen at hobby lobby
