    As an atheist, I appreciate when Christians practice what they preach when they say to respect and love everyone. Too many hypocrite Christians out there I'm glad this guy's not one of them and is on our side.

    I consider myself Christian, and I loved this speech. Thank you for separating faith and Christianity from political ideology and cronyism. Thank you for appealing to all the other aspects of moral duty that so many self-professing Christians on the right fail to defend. Most of all, thank you Rev. Barber for presenting a truer picture of what it means to follow Christ.

    +Ancar Willis Who on the planet doesn't understand that we SHOULD act that way? Other than sociopaths and just plain horrible people? That's like a guy getting on a stage and saying "pedophilia is bad" then everyone cheering him on like he just made some mind-blowing revelation. The people who don't feel that way or don't care arent going to be swayed by this kind of thing. This reverend is (ironically?) preaching to the choir.

  • @jimmymcconnie4954

    @jimmymcconnie4954

    8 жыл бұрын

    Ancar Willis i think you missed the point....the scapegoat the left call "acting on fears" are actually SOLUTIONS to the problem...its the lefts inability to admit the problem while burying your heads in the sand...this is one of the main reasons why 7 years ago as a young adult i stopped with the democrat party and joined the republican tent....saying nice words feels nice but it is actual answers the people should be hearing.

  • @ancarwillis9060

    @ancarwillis9060

    8 жыл бұрын

    James McConnie Lol the left refuses to admit what the problem is... No we just have a different perspective and have reached different conclusions as to what the problems actually are, and we feel that your solutions are to radical and ultimately more detrimental than beneficial. That said if neither side can admit there is merit to the others then we'll never move forward. Every situation is different and there is no one side that's right all the time on anything, but we're at a point in our history where neither side wants to acknowledge this so we have to fight as hard as we can to get our voices heard because if not we'll just be brushed aside.

    You can see it really hit Jimmy Dore. He went dead silent (normally a total sarcastic, constant motormouth). He even ignored the others talking around him, and he was leaning in to listen. I actually think that surprised him and hit his heart. Nothing to really say about it, but maybe we will start seeing him begin to evolve. Idk. It was just something about his reaction. I would love to hear his real inner thoughts about it. Oh wait I mentioned Dore. Here come the spit comments...while ignoring the real moment we just saw there. A man that looks like the words touched his soul. Interesting

    I may not agree with Rev. William Barber that Hillary will do everything he talked about, but he stands before her and says she needs to keep her promises, I have a feeling she'll listen to him. He's a powerful speaker, and the little that I know about him has impressed me. I hope he has the chance to keep his presence felt before her, maybe then we can be sure that she will do what is right.
