For the tuning knob - in the settings, just select "Invert X Axis" and save. Wait, what?

Nice little receiver. The design looks simple yet weirdly elegant. The AM would be largely useless here in Ireland as it takes a hefty ferrite rod to catch anything here. Could be useful coupled with a tecsun an200 or similar passive MW loop though. Pretty decent FM radio for someone on the go I'd imagine.

The tuning wheel is moved the opposite way just like the backwards scrolling that newer operating systems have by default. Not good, but maybe in a simple device like this it could be acceptable.

I seem to recall this type reverse scrolling tuning dial being.a thing on other cheap AM/FM I have used in the past and maybe it has something to do with being cheaper & easier to wire up the tuning dial in this way. As for the OS “backwards” scrolling, that came about because tablet systems like the iPad employ scrolling based the direction you’d swipe your fingers if you were “scrolling” actually printed paper which makes sense on a tablet but less so a desktop/laptop system where you’ve traditionally scrolled in the direction you want to go in. To me they should just leave the old fashioned way alone but allow those who want so-called “natural scrolling” to be able to turn on if they wish. The “reverse” scrolling on the radio dial shouldn’t be an issue with anyone familiar with the tradition way to scroll using a mouse or trackpad.
