Restoration, Hunting Knife
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hi people in this video I am repairing a hunting knife, the person who gave me this knife said that the blade was forged around the eighties by his buddy. The knife was sharpened, worked with, and over the years of use it became a little smaller, the steel of the blade is instrumental, the cutting part has a rounded sharpening angle. The knife stopped being used five years ago. I see people signing up, and I'm happy about that. Thank you for supporting me, I will continue to work in this direction, share with someone if you have such an opportunity, thank you

I once made a micarta using jeans, and I noticed that some epoxy resins react with this material, and the resin does not harden. If you will be doing something like this, do it on a small piece for testing. These old jeans will be shorts, I have a sewing machine)
Tebrikler ustalık on numara. Eşyaları restore edebiliyoruz. Biz insanlar da öldükten sonra restore edilecek miyiz.
People. Must. Be. Getting lazy. Only. Lots of rusty. Knives. Out. There. 😮😮!!!
Would be better if there was commentary either vocal or CC. What did you soak it in to remove rust? What grits of sandpaper did you use for sanding? What kind of wood for the scales? What oil did you finish the wood with?

Hello, in order to remove rust from the Knife, I used a light solution of citric acid with water, preheated it, put the knife down, four minutes passed, I pulled it out, cleaned it with a brush, repeated these actions about eight times. After citric acid, I used baking soda and shampoo. For locksmith processing of the blade of the Knife, I used three grains of sandpaper, these are 120 Grit, 400 Grit and 800 Grit silicon carbide, for polishing I used diamond paste, unfortunately I don't remember the name, the sticker with the information was erased. The handle of the Knife is made of apricot wood and beech wood, impregnated with linseed oil, the oil is already dry, and I think I need to cover the handle again, it seems to me that impregnation alone is not enough, perhaps I will cover it with beeswax with linseed oil, but I need to find a recipe, I don't remember the proportions
