@@HollyDutton-wz8fe. I had one as a teenager that I was crazy about. (This was 55 years ago.). When I bought him, he was the most beautiful, colorful betta I had ever seen. His body was red and blue with a monstrous tail that was predominantly blue with bright red veining. Just gorgeous. He made me think of a traditional soldier in uniform, like the Nutcracker wears. The young man I was dating (and later married) last name was/is Dutton. I named my betta Dutton Major. Like the fish in this video, he interacted with everyone but he seemed to respond to me the most. He lived in a planted 10 gallon tank with Neon tetras and a Cory cat named Cory. Good times!

It’s actually really common for blue marble bettas to start white and get totally blue as they age. But she definitely is doing right by that fish, and he’s gotten so healthy in her care! I love seeing more people get passionate about humane fish care 😊 Fish are amazing creatures too

The first tank looked okay for his size but she definitely sized up at the end of the video (from the square to rectangular tank) to keep up with his growth. The current one looks to be, at the very least, around 5 gallons (the generally accepted bare min tank size for these guys ^^) so that's good! And especially compared to those horrid cups they stay in 24/7 at many (primarily big chain) pet stores, I'm sure the difference was wild for the little guy! I see so many people treat fish like they're just decor rather than the curious living beings they actually are. Breaks my heart but it makes me so happy to see people care and act on it if they have the means to do so. ❤
