    Excellent, Karl! Really good idea and engineering! 👍 Same here with my 747-400 sim. If I would build it again (oooh lord 😣), I would also build lot of major parts different, like you said "I should have built ..."! 😎

    Thank you. However, I forgot to mention that I did not possess some of the skills or techniques when I first started out. I gained a lot of them through experience and by figuring out easier ways to achieve my goals. This design happens to be one of my favorites.

    Just wanted to drop by and say these are amazing! Came across your channel by chance a short while ago - and as a 738 (and previously A321) driver by trade I must say that this is the best (and most reasonably priced) replica I've seen - they even look better than the real incandescent ones in some of our more 'vintage' -800s 😂 Have just ordered one to have a play with along with the files and some PCBs as I've got some ideas for incorporating them into other projects. Look forward to future videos in the series!

    I like the design but need the PCB to work more like the originals. All my arduinos sink current for the annunciators, this allows me to use the Bright/Dim switch to provide 5 or 3 volts. I guess i'm describing a type 1 whereas yours is closer to a type 2.

    You are a genius! Super construction. But the 1st one you mounted, for below glideslope, has to have an extra function I think, when pressed it should silence the alarm for being below glideslope.

    Hmmm nice... I wonder if these could be redesigned to match buttons in H145 instrument panel! :) I have also been trying to find if anyone has designed a standard circular circuit breaker that not only tells the sim that it has been pulled, but can pop out automatically if you pull it (or it fails) in the sim!

  • @helimech8152

    @helimech8152

    Жыл бұрын

    In regards to the design, it can be adjusted but not made smaller without requiring a PCB redesign. As for the circuit breaker, I have yet to address that issue as it will require a great deal of creativity to keep the cost low and size compact enough to fit multiple units together.

    Great design! Just one detail: The Korry you install in this video "BELOW G/S" is the only korry in the aircraft that isn't push to test. You can still push on it, but it's to cancel the warning, as it says on the korry "P-INHIBIT" or push to inhibit.

  • @helimech8152

    @helimech8152

    Absolutley correct! Thats why thare are 4 pins on each korry. You can select between the 2 functions by selecting which pin/terminal you use, just like the real korry.

    Hey They look awesome and pretty close to the real ones... One Thing to mention: The Below GS Korry do NOT have a est function. Its a switch and cancels the Below GS warning sound. Prosim has an Input for that aswell. That MIP is looking pretty close to the real one.!

    Hello, I may have forgotten to mention this in the video, but because the circuity is replicated using an actual korry, each korry not only has the press to test, but also press button action for that exact reason.

    Nice to see it coming together but I have to admit I don't understand how you don't push the annunciators through the hole when pressing. I see the other part coming from the back but is the hole in the panel in a special shape so these things have something to sit against? Anyways thanks for your work! :)

    The outer case features a 2mm lip around its edge that fits snugly against the panel. This allows the faceplate and backshell to trap the panel, resulting in a secure fit between the two parts.
