I have to replace a wheel bearing. I like your tip on how to get the wheel bearing back on, but got any tips on how to get it off

I usually just put them in the bench vice loosely, put the old axle nut back on upside down and tap it off.

@@PullerbearEd thank you for that, I have one more for you, the wheel bearing kit I bought from Amazon. Amazon has a black rubber seal that it came with. You mentioned it in this video, do I do anything with that??

@robr2346 I replace them if needed. The ones in my video were still in good shape. If your bearing went bad then you probably should replace the seal.

Ed, hello. I am a Wisconsin boy now retired 6 years in The Dominican Republic. I have a 2012 EZ-GO gas cart that has treated me very well for over 4 years. Today driving home from the beach and had just slowly gone over a speed bump. My rear axel drivers side gave up the ghost. At first I had no idea what was wrong,although I did think axle as I had just gone over the speed bump. . Several locals stoped to help and one guy showed me the axel spinning in the hub. Should the hub and axel always be replaced together? I have a trusted mechanic here but he speaks no English and my Spanish is a guy work in progress. But so far I am absolutely pleased with His work and charges. He will look at it tomorrow. If you say that replacing both is necessary or a good idea, that’s all I need to here. Glad I found you . I will be checking out more of your golf cart videos

I've always found it to be best to replace them as a set. That was you know there is no issue with there being wear on any of the splins.
