    Great info! Watching this video I had both changed out in just a couple hours. 2nd was way faster, of course. Couple things though to know: Removing the old nuts from the top (under the hood) there is very little room. The original nuts did need the 14mm. However, your replacement struts came with 15mm nuts. Probably should point that out. Also, when removing struts from axle, one of the bolts required a 19mm. So, I had to scramble to grab those when normally I would have it right next to me when installing. But everything else is great!

    Yes, you are correct, we should have added a 15mm socket to the list of tools needed.

    Do you have the link or website you purchased the parts from? I need the front and rear for my 07 Honda Ridgeline.

    At 7:44 his axle could have eaisly come out as mine did. I recommend you take the axle nut out when doing this job to prevent that from happening.

    Do you rotate the new struts assembly 180 degrees or is that only for when you have the traxda lift.

    Mines were replaced and I get a annoying squeeking noise from the left coil is that normal because the right side doesn't do that noise?

    Thank you very much. This is interesting. Does the RTL Ridgeline use the same struts as base models (RTL has 18" wheels instead of 17").

    Stupid question but how do you know when you need new struts? I am hearing a distinct noise when I go over a bump and I'm not sure where it is coming from but it sounds like it's coming from the passenger side front end. Thanks for making this awesome video!

    The noise is likely from a worn stabilizer joint. They are $25 and relatively simple to replace (seen on this video). Shocks/struts will typically leak when they have failed, and you will see fluid coming out from around the bellows.

    Do you feel this could be done with a jack and jack stands? Do you need to get the vehicle really high using a lift, or would having it high enough to get the tire off and on jackstands be sufficient?

  • @suedelaney7019

    @suedelaney7019

    Yes, it can be done with two jack stands in the front and a jack. Make sure to place the jack stands on the frame lifting points, but we recommend you take to a professional, especially since the vehicle will need an alignment after the new complete strut assemblies are installed.
