Removing tree stump with Kubota BX

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Removing tree stump was a piece of cake with the Kubota BX tractor. Video is about 4 mins but it took total of 24 mins to get the stump out. I was making room for a new potato/vegetable garden.

Nice, you made short work of that stump! Smart move leaving it cut high, with out the leverage, that job can get a lot harder. I've got one I'm doing battle with now that is winning at the moment. Its 32" across.

Yeah it just keeps going and going and no end to the kinds of jobs it can do. Just got the backhoe off and the snowblower on. Thanks!

Hi Bob , Mr Short said you have a great channel and I must agree, haven't had a chance to look it all over but the drill trick taking out the cabbage core was great. Look forward to seeing more. Steve

Thanks very much Steve. Paul has been giving me and my channel a real boost lately as he works on my tractor - waiting for the bill shock now :). Also I am working on a new homemade tractor attachment now and hope to have a video up over the next week or so (need my BX back first). Thanks again.

+Bob Kelland I wished I lived close to Mr Short. He, and his wife, seems like really nice people and knows his stuff. I really enjoy his vids, especially when he uses the bx25d. I actually own a MF gc1710, but it is pretty much the same kind of tractor, just different brand. I stopped by a kubota dealer today, after work, to "drool" after those lil' buggers. They sell the heck out of them because they only had one left. If I could do it over, I believe I would go with the bx25d, myself.

+Bob Kelland I also think you are a nice person, too, with a box yourself. Didn't want to leave you out, sir. You both a fun to watch and learn using your lil toys. I surely have learned a great deal.

Good job Bob. Takes a little time but the BX can get'er done. Gee. I was just thinking. If we were neighbours Newfoundland would look like the prairies lol. Cool video. Love watching tractors working :)

There was a man who applied for a job as a logger. The employer asked "do you have any experience"? The guy named a few small logging outfits then as an afterthought "I also worked in the Sahara Forest". A puzzled look came over the interviewers face. "The Sahara Forest.......don't you mean the Sahara Desert"? The man replied "ya, now it's the Sahara Desert"

I love to see big jobs done with small machines. I once purchased a 50 Hp tractor that was too big for my use. I have 8.5 acres. Even though I could use a 35 HP L series but I am considering the Bx25D with all of its noise.

Yeah I'm very happy with my BX. Hardly a day goes by when I don't use it for one thing or another (both summer and winter).

I totally agree, I've used my Kubota BX to dig countless stumps out of my yard and property. Some were probably too big for the machine, but I took it slow and sawcut some of the really stubborn roots and eventually got them all. I've never regretted the purchase of my Kubota BX!

Exactly right re enjoyment :). It actually took just 24 mins to get it out. I estimate the overall weight to be over 1000 lbs (there is a lots of rocks and clay embedded in the roots)

Thanks Bill... trying to squeeze in a lot with ham radio, tractors, etc. but it's all fun and keeps it interesting. Right now I have a simple dipole strung around the inside of the house but hope to improve that before winter sets in. Mainly interested in CW but will no doubt try other modes as time goes on. Looks like you and your ham buddies have a real and practical service setup to handle all kinds of emergencies... just great.
